See, I didn't care about the lockout anymore, or whether we were going to have a season. Once hockey starts, I'll care about that (though not nearly as much as previously).
my lot is cast. has been. if its on, i'll watch. if its not, i wont miss it. i am probably not traveling to dc from nc for a game. i might travel to raleigh for one game.
my racing and my motorsports photography business calender gets pretty busy from february out and i start missing games anyway.
i will say this. ive had a weagle on the hood of the mustang for playoffs the past two seasons. in 2013 we are racing at lime rock park connecticut memorial day weekend. i would dearly love to have a weagle on the hood and the caps still playing for a race during the playoffs in rangers country like that.
tom poti got an experimental bionic groin transplant as is ready to start camp.
I seriously wonder if I'm the only one not excited by this Poti news? Everyone seems to be smitten as a kitten to be paying a dude who hasn't played a game in two years almost 3 million bucks.
Poti will be fine, he has already adapted to playing stuck in 1st gear.
I am going to miss celebrating Wideman and Sarge making it off the ice each shift like I did in the playoffs. It helped fill the void of not getting to celebrate many goals.
Wow Oasty (get used to it) is going to have a lot of LD options. Naturally, I wonder which one will be at RD. Orlov seems a no brainer but I wonder if he wont be stuck in Hershey.
Hammer Green | Alzner Carlson | Who the **** knows but we got 5 LH shots
I would *think* so, but I am leery for the first time since 2008. I will say "yes", but am only about 2/3rd's convinced.
What say you all?
Anything is possible in a short season. Remember TOR, EDM, MIN at 48 games in last year? Could get ugly if a team has a slow start. IINM Caps and Pens were both out at the 48 game mark last year.

i think that noone has any expectations. i think many have suggested he would be a pylon at best or that he has to be as rusted as a studebaker.
i have no idea of the caps will even see him pass his physical. i will believe it when i see it.
Psssh, Bondra was never captain. Konowalchuk is clearly next in line for the job. Pity his Thunderbirds team is in last place in their division. His tenure might be as short as Oates' and Hunter's. The Jeff Halpern-era starting so quickly after he last played for us will be awkward.

So what side do you come down on. Yay or Nay?
I'd make a poll but am too stupid to understand how to do so.
Bob McKenzie @TSNBobMcKenzie
Each team plays: 4 games vs. two Divisional opponents (8); 5 games vs. two divisional opponents (10); 3 games vs 10 Conference rivals (30).
The Caps have a good bunch of guys, decent depth at C, should score some goals and be hard to play against. Let's take a crack at the Cup!
Mr. Hyde:
What's the standard? *** nice guys skating around or winning the Stanley Cup? The Caps have zero chance at the Cup. Nil. Nada. Are McPhee and Ted still here?! F it.

Shoot me for being 100% aligned with you on your feelings about the lockout/season and feelings about the team's chances...
