Svatos has the most niche and loyal fans I've ever seen of an NHL player who could barely finish a shift without getting thrown to the ice.

Talking to Svatos fans is like speaking with the fan club of Batman Forever.

Avs should trade Matt Duchene to Winnipeg for Byfuglien and Scheifele. Scheifele to replace Duchene, and Buff is a very good all around offensive threat.

I'd love to see this trade happen!

No...Duchene has already scored 67 points in his 2nd year, Scheifele, as nice as he is as a prospect, has not PROVEN anything at the NHL level.

And HELL NO to Byfuglien...

I'd rather see Cam Barker having a try out here with us rather than in Vancouver...

He hasn't been good in recent years but he has some of the qualities we are desperate for. He actually can handle the puck decently.

In theory you just give Svatos the puck in his own zone and goal!

If you see a Winnipeg trade you can rest assure that Little will be a part of it... Avs love smallish skilled centers! Little + Bogosian would be the trade I'd hope for there, but Stastny/O'Reilly ++ will be going the other way.

At the Spengler he was quite bad at moving the puck. Too ofter he would hold it about 2 seconds too long and then give it up to forchecker or make a terrible pass. I think Texas, with his old coach Desjardins is the best situation for Barker to maybe get back on track.

I could get behind a WPG trade if its for Bogosian and Little. Would probably do Oreilly + Elliott + 2nd to get it done.

Well we know that the Avalanche were apparently pushing to acquire Little at this year's Trade Deadline (TPS filled us in on that). Now the only question is whether they might still be interested, because we know that the Deadline Deal they made that year was for McGinn (another '06er as well).

Because if you looked at it, it seemed that maybe the Avs were offering the same package to both the Jets and the Sharks (I have NOTHING to back that up, just a guess based on what the cost for Little would be) and when the Jets passed or wanted more from the Avalanche, the Avs declined and instead put the deal together with the Sharks. Again, that's just a guess at this point, as TPS was/is not privy to any knowledge from what the Avalanche were supposedly offering for Little.

Nope. Gotta be Duchene going the other way.

In that case, WPG would have to add some better pieces.

At this point Duchene is probably the least likely to get traded. Highest potential, signed to a reasonable deal that is a prove it sort of deal, and a lifetime Avs fan.

They won't accept that.
Never.
Would you trade a 2nd line Center and a (in 1-2 years) top-pairing defenseman for a 2nd line center, a good prosect and a 2nd?

Never happen. Avs would be ahead with just the 2 for 1 trade.

It probably isn't that far off. Little is a lower end 2nd line center while O'Reilly is younger and is already a better 2C. Bogosian is worth a chunk more than Elliott plus a 2nd though.

Winnipeg:
O'Reilly
Choice of Elliott, Barrie, or Siemens
O'Byrne
2nd

Colorado:
Little
Bogosian
Yuen

Still not worth it for them. O'Byrne can't fill the void that Bogosian leaves, and O'Reilly isn't a big enough need or upgrade from Little for the Jets to even come close to saying yes.
