The last thing we need is for Kovy to get hurt playing in a KHL game.
Kovy is a prodigy over there. I think Putin puts a hit on anyone who injures Kovy, Malkin, Ovi, etc. and that becomes the next Call of Duty storyline.

Starting the season with no Parise, Kovalchuk, Henrique, Ponikarovsky from last year
I wouldn't it put it past Lou to contact his CIA sources to plan a operative to kidnap Kovalchuk and destroy the KHL in the process.
Seriously though, what the ****. What is happening

Kovalchuk will be back, Henrique will be back a week and a half/2 weeks into the season.

Wanted to post over there, but didn't wanna get into an argument if someone brought up the Kovy situation. This is hilarious if it happens!

The Flyers fans are actually cool with this! It's like the Eric Boulton hat trick against us. They probably have that 2 goal game from him against them last year in mind!
Hopefully it's true, and we see plenty of Foster in our battles with the Flyers this year! After all the talk about improving their D this is a pretty good answer for us! BAD for them.

Now that might be pushing it! Leach is better defensively, but Foster brings a little bit of offense.
Even though he goes, and gives it right back instantaneously.

Dear 2013 Devils team,
When on the PK against the Flyers, always clear towards Foster.
Thanks.

Would be awesome to see a nice shorty breakaway, and Bryz stops it while Foster skates right past the rebound, and it's put in! Kinda like that game last year. I think it was the Canadiens. Foster was benched for the remainder of the game, and we came back and won.

Yup. I remember at least two occasions of Foster's shots taking out a knee or two in practices.

Per Renaud Lavoie, Andrei Kostitsyn will be attending the Panthers' camp on a tryout basis. There goes that.

Although full schedule not expected to be announced til player ratification completed Saturday, we might hear some info on openers today.

Honestly unless Lou and JVB plan on splurging this summer in UFA I'd be shocked if the Devils use any of the Amnesty buyouts

I could see them using one on Volchenkov. 3 years at $4.25 mil at a position where we are loaded with players. While the others don't play his style, we can afford to free up some space on the blue line. Only reason I pin him as an option is because he's the only guy back there with more than 2 years remaining (after this season). Maybe an outside shot at Greene if he struggles or something, but I doubt it.
