Brian Burke and Darcy Regier never usually deal with each other. The only deal they've actually made was Dominic Moore to Buffalo for a 2nd back when Moore was with us. Despite that I think there is a deal to be made here.

Buffalo has an excess of D-men and Toronto has an excess for Forwards with space needed for Kadri, Frattin.
MacArthur is good for 20+ goals and will give Buffalo depth in scoring. Sekera will stabilize our defense as he is a very strong two-way guy. With Gardiner's injury, Toronto needs insurance.
No thanks. I'd trade any of: Leopold, Regehr, Brennan before Sekera. He plays very tough minutes for Buffalo and does very well with them. And Buffalo really isn't in need of wingers unless it's an upgrade in our top 6 (say, over Stafford), which MacA is not.

I respectfully disagree with some of my fellow Sabre fans and think Sekera is very available. He would come at a relatively steep price though. As I put in the other thread, Kadri + Finn.

Absolutely no. Like others have stated, the other defenseman we have are absolutely up for trade talks. Sekera would cost more than the Leafs would like to give up such as JVR, or prospects like Percy or Biggs.
Although Garth from Hockeybuzz may tell you Sekera is available, he most defiantly is not. He is a young top 4 defenceman who plays shut down minutes at a measly 2.75 per, won't be going anywhere unless its to bring in a top line forward.

And it's amazing how blind you are at scouting talent LOL. Your boy Sekera is much worse than gunnar in comparison and he can be found in every draft. Thanks for the laugh tho 2.75 is the contract for a reason!

What possible reason would Buffalo have to move a young top-4 d-man on a reasonable contract for Kadri?

I actually scouted your boy by watching him play during the Leaf, Sabres match ups. I won't go there and assume how you came about your extremely low value scouting report on Kadri though. Ill let you do your thing and laugh.
