Pretty much. The contributions from the forwards in particular were as spread out as you can get.

And who can forget Kaberle?

Canada has a heck of a forward group at the Spengler, like their chances.

I played hockey tourney one time against Derek Walser and he is not really big but very strong and can fire it,But best part he was so down to earth and not one single bit full himself. And by the way,it was just a gentlemens tourney, nothing serious lol

I've never heard of any of their defence. Subban said he woulda been interested in playing. I wonder what other Canadian nhlers would hve played given the chance

Biel's Patrick Kane and Tyler Seguin were voted best NHL-imports in Switzerland by Swiss newspaper readers of "20 Minuten". http://www.20min.ch/sport/eishockey/...Joker-28722254

We surely appreciated having Seguin on our hometown team. I will never forget those 4 months with such players.

I find it quite interesting how Swiss media report about Seguin and Kane after they came to Switzerland.
Seguin is described as the most spectacular, the most charismatic, but also the most unpredictable, capricious, headstrong and selfish of NHL guest workers. There are quite many story about his partylife and his not always professional behaviour off the ice. He was still loved by the fans in Biel. His coach in Biel said that he was way more difficult to coach than Patrick Kane. Kane was apparently very calm, didn't party alot. "The smart, modest and polite model boy was sort of the opposite of the Rock Roller Tyler Seguin." said a Swiss newspaper.

And you guys feared that Kane would have a bad influence on Seguin. :-D

According to this news paper yes. But if you read the open letter from a journalist from Biel it's way less dramatic: https://www.facebook.com/notes/ehc-b...t=note_comment
But he sure enjoyed it, that Beer and wine are legal at age 16 here. ;-)

On 25 September you landed in Biel. A shy young man at first sight and after the first interviews. The first practice has already shown: What you will show us is Hockey at it's finest. You played 29 Games for EHC Biel, scored 40 points. This alone says enough. But anyone who has seen and followed you through all these weeks can now really understand what hockey can be. Fine art. Sometimes you have taken a lot of risk, some passes didn't arrive. Normal, you are only about 21 years old. On January 31 exactly on the same day that our Biel-born player GaŽtan Haas will get 21 years old. We would have liked to see you two together celebrating this anniversary with the team. Well you left us. We can not be angry. The contract expired, and you did not want to sign a contract till the end of the lockout. You will not only be remembered as the young man from Canada with the whimsical smile. What you have shown us on the ice, your speed, your technique, your eye for the right thing at the right moment and not least your hard shot, all this is unmatched in the 73-year history of EHC Biel. In other words, dear Tyler Seguin, you've made history in Biel. Even though you'll probably never see this place again, we hope that you take one or the other positive memory with you to Boston. I'm sure one or the other people from the Seeland-region in Biel will come visit you in the National Hockey League. In order to remember a time that will never be forgotten. Thank you Tyler, all the best.
Damn. That's awesome

Biel made it to the playoffs on the last round of the regular season. They were behind the last playoff-spot by quite a few points (9-10 i think) but managed to win the last games and reach the playoffs. What a great season Seguin contributed to!
