So if they go deep, or heaven forbid, win, you won't cheer for them? C'mon. What are you going to do if the deal is Kadri + Bozak + 2nd or something?
Ok. I'll watch.
But everyday I'll post in the fire gillis now thread.
Those deals are so ****ing bad.
I'd rather have Luongo and lose depth players than trade him to a team I hate for their ***** players (one who is UFA this summer and the other we'll lose to waivers when he doesn't make our team next year).
Plus I've never liked Kadri. Not when he played for Kitchener, not in London, not for team Canada.
He seems to be more Robbie Schrempf than Mike Ribeiro. He's a floater we'd lose in 9 months anyways.

You would get over it, just like everyone else. I feel that people have set the bar so high here. There's going to be anger unless it's Gardiner+++. It's just unrealistic. If you get a 1st plus good prospect, thank the gods and move on... IMO of course.

Not sure if posted yet, pretty funny - causing a stir. Some Toronto Sun columnist who hasn't tweeted since Aug and is NOT verified posted this. Considering they can't talk trades right now, not sure what this person it thinking. Needless to say, I think Vancouver police have been dispatched to downtown Van just in case.
If that's the trade I'll be buying my Ryan Nugent-Hopkins jersey this weekend.

No you wouldn't.
The bar is set high but the deal in question isn't even off the ground, it's sliding along the floor.
It's awful.
We're moving the best player AND cap space for a rental (a bad one) a soft prospect and a 2nd.
The best piece in that offer is the pick that is like 45-50th overall.
I'd hate the deal. Hate the new players. Hate the GM. And I have a pretty strong feeling the players on the team would probably have similar feelings.
Adding Bozak to our roster I don't think improves us. It's another guy who'd need to be sheltered, might as well shelter Schroeder.
I'll stop now though, not worth my time. It's a non realistic deal, with the sole purpose of getting people like me angry.
I like Frattin, don't get me wrong, actually prefer him to Bozak. But I'd like to get someone young in this deal, someone who has some potential still. Frattin and Bozak are guys who are near their peak if they aren't already there. So moving from Kadri to Frattin isn't that desirable to me. At least there is something to work with for Kadri (Although, i've never even like Kadri since his draft year). I'd prefer none of the above.
The only prospects i'd like in a deal with TOR, besides the obvious Gardiner/Rielly, would be Matt Finn, Josh Leivo, Korbinian Holzer and perhaps Tom Nilsson. But honestly, i'd prefer not to deal with Toronto.
Apart from that, I would be okay with Frattin, Bozak + 2nd from TO for Lu.
Might be a bit more fair if Finn or Colborne are thrown in there, but yeah... I'd be okay with it.
You would be okay with getting nothing back for Luongo?
I would literally buy an Edmonton Oilers jersey, buy tickets to a Canucks/Oilers game (because that money is just going to be given to the Phoenix Coyotes anyways so it's not like I'm necessarily supporting the Canucks) and cheer for the Oilers.

Just wear your Luongo jersey and "LUUUUUU" every time the other team scores. LOL.
I assume the point is to win the Stanley Cup.
Frickin and Bozo do not make the Canucks stronger than simply hanging on to Luongo as insurance in goal.
Seriously, they can barely play on the Leafs.
I pretty much lost faith in Gillis when he signed Luongo to that deal in the first place. He's done nothing since to restore it. So nothing would surprise me. Even being fleeced by Burke.
I think the Canuck's best move is to hang on to Luongo until the deadline or summer. With the quick 48 games and playoffs, they'll need more than Schneider. Lu's a good "Regular Season" goalie.

I've been doubting MG more since he re-signed AV after that horrendous last half of a season and playoffs. My goodness.
Hopefully no one should need this translated, but all I can say is thank God.
Agents deny stuff like this all the time. If we do such a stupid trade I hope this organization is cursed and doesn't win a Cup for 50 years. A stupid trade like that would absolutely sicken me. I just couldn't cheer for this team anymore.
