David Bowie - The Next Day
Release date: March

This is Bowie‘s first release in the last decade, and his 30th studio album!! He released a single today, his 66th birthday, called “Where Are We Now?“.. and while it is enjoyable, it certainly isn‘t like his previous work. It‘s a lot slower and seems like it‘s “more meaningful“. The video gives off a creepy vibe, but it also adds to the song.

I just cannot believe this is actually happening.. HIS birthday, yet WE get the gift(s)?!

I thought you were speaking in third person for a second there.

I'm pretty excited, and I'm described as a "Musical Phillistine." The single is good, and it'll be nice to see his name on the charts along with what else is popular.

This.

I think we see something from them. They are writing, have been recording tracks and have done pre-production. They do things quietly. We'll hear nothing and then find out in March that Maynard is in the studio and then we'll hear about a release date.

I'm thinking Fall and then a tour. All I want is a tour.

Tool easily if it comes out in 2013. No rush to keep coming out with albums. With Tool, it's one of those rare bands where the years of waiting are always worth it (1992-1993-1996-2001-2006).

The new Local Natives album "Hummingbird" is going to be really good. I've heard a couple of singles off it, and they're unreal. It's going to be up there. Comes out on the 29th of January here in North America.

Danny Brown's ODB is finished, so I'd imagine the release would be pretty soon...

I can't wait. I was blown away by Gorilla Manor. I've refrained from listeniing to any singles so I can hear the album in its entirety.

I just got into their music in fact. Been listening to their debut. A beautiful album.

Same boat here. Really liked Gorilla Manor.

But I too like to wait for an entire album all at once for the first time. No crappy leaks either! It can really ruin a first impression.

Black Keys, Arcade Fire, National, Wu Tang and Bowie? Very excited for this year.

Edit: And Local Natives and Vampire Weekend?! Woot!

I got the full album a couple weeks ago. And as a huge MMJ and Jim fan, it's not very good. About half the songs are good, the other half stink. He just gets too weird sometimes.

I had no idea it was leaked already, I'll check it out. I'm also a huge fan of Jim and the band, hopefully I disagree with you.

Not getting my hopes up for that Wu Tang. Definitely looking forward to Toro y Moi and Daft Punk's latest.

A$ap Rocky's new album is getting some really good reviews so far. He's good but I never understood what people loves about him so much, perhaps it's the production he's getting and the overall sound and image he's portraying. He's good but not great, and yet he seems to be a bit of a critics darling.
