Even if all he got for Luongo was Bozak, Frattin, 2nd?

Van-NYI

To NYI

Ballard...a d locked up for a few yrs
Tanev...solid d on the cusp
Malhotra...solid center
2nd round pick...same price NYI gave for Vish to ANA

To Van

Vishnovsky...Shortened season equals less cap hit plus only $3m real salary
Boyes...$1m cap hit less with short season

Then sign ufa...Campoli D=$1m...Ellis G=$750k

Add this to the Luongo rumored trade of

Kadri
Bozak
Draft pick

Equals

Bozak Ufa
Vishnovsky ufa
Ellis ufa
Boyes ufa
Campoli ufa

Money spent is not tied into anything long term

Enormous, cannot imagine Montreal would want to let him go

In principle it's a good idea, I don't think Montreal would be as enthused as us about trading him. Not sure what we could offer to make it worthwhile.

Any chance we can talk to Colorado about Ryan O'Reilly. Pay him what he is asking and have them talk to his agent about moving to Vancouver and then present them with a trade

He'd be perfect for us

2nd line center till Kesler is back

3rd line scoring line once Kesler is back

They have pretty good center depth

What would that take?

1st and a 2nd this year and a 2nd next year?

How would you guys value Kesler in a hypothetical trade to Nashville?

Also, Kesler's NTC just kicked in, and Weber can't be traded anyways, so I just don't think it's possible.

I don't think COL will trade him in division

Problem is, he is holding out for Kesler money....he's not worth Kesler money.

As has been said, he's one of the faces of the Canucks and has a NTC. He's not going anywhere. Any hypothetical trades you see from a Canucks fan will be far more than Nashville should ever pay. Not a good fit.

1. We cant afford Weber's cap hit (and it would give us a new Luongo contract that is much more expensive)

2. We'd have no 2nd line center.

3 way deal cause it's late and I'm bored. Would be at the deadline with Florida out of the race, and Toronto in the race.

To Vancouver
Weiss
Petrovic
Reimer/Scrivens

To Florida
Kadri
Connauton
Rodin
Vancouver 1st (If the Canucks make the SCF)
Toronto 2nd (Becomes a 1st if the leafs make the playoffs)

To Toronto
Loungo
Goc

So in summary;

for the canucks

IN:
Weiss, Petrovic, Reimer/Scrivens

OUT:
Loungo, Connauton, Rodin, Conditional 1st

for the panthers

IN:
Kadri, Connauton, Rodin, Conditonal 2nd round pick (If Tor makes the playoffs pick becomes 1st), Conditional 1st round pick(If Van makes SCF florida gets pick)

OUT:
Weiss, Goc, Petrovic

for the leafs

IN:
Loungo, Goc

OUT:
Kadri, 2nd round pick(Becoming a 1st if Tor makes playoffs), Reimer/Scrivens

why not keep Luongo and trade for Weiss? 2nd plus prospect for Weiss and trade Luongo in the summer.

The salary cap, I believe Weiss makes close to 4million.
An also because I doubt Florida trades Weiss for a prospect plus a pick from us for the sole reason the canucksdo not have anything worthwhile to give up besides Jensen and he is the only prospect who is close to kadri in value, only way to get kadri is to trade loungo
(Schroeder, Tanev or Kassian aren't prospects)

Hey, as someone who lives in B.C, but doesn't follow the canucks too much. Can someone explain the Jensen hype to me?

All I see is someone who was not even top 50 in scoring in the ohl the year after his draft. Did not put up amazing numbers in the SEL. (yeah I know, most young people dont)

However most of my canuck fan friends are hyping him up to be the 2nd coming. but have no real proof or stats or anything to back it up.

Bolded the incorrect sentence. Once corrected, you will understand the Jensen hype.
