Downloaded Sleep Cycle for my iPhone. Interesting. Apparently I had two periods of deep sleep and then knocked my phone off the bed

So apparently (according to Russo) Suter made the list for one of the hottest players in the NHL for 2013 but Parise didn't, nor did Henrik Lundqvist. Sorry, but I can't that list seriously if King Henrik isn't on there.

Wanna create a giant ****storm, stir up controversy thereby increasing page views all in one fell swoop? Make a rank-order list.

Turned out to be my dust allergy rather than an actual flu/illness.

I thought of going to sleep at 1am or before that, which would be way earlier than I normally do. I thought it was good, but decided to check what's on HF instead.

It's 6.20am. FML.

He did - it's Cosmo and for the ladies if you were wondering - and I recommend reading if only for the really hard in-depth analysis that you only get from Cosmo.

EDIT: Burns also made the list.

I'm thinking about doing about the same. It seems perfect for it.

What do you suppose the ladies who oversee the self checkout lane in grocery stores did in a previous life to deserve such a punishment?

Ugh. I just spent an hour fixing broken links in a spreadsheet because my boss keeps typing over the numbers then complaining that nothing ties out. Not like I'm supposed to be doing half a dozen other things.

I dunno but if they're anything like the people I used to work with in warehouses who stand around and gab while waiting for things to go wrong, they might have the IQ of a squid.

So I got my new pair of glasses yesterday. I like them. They feel ok, they look good, and I can see pretty well out of my right eye. The problem is the left lens is still pretty blurry.

I called them back and asked if I can get the lens exchanged and they said to wait a few days to get used to it. Not sure what I could do to improve my eyesight, but okay.

My contacts are -4.50 in both eyes, and on my glasses my right eye is -4.50 but my left eye with glasses is -4.25. Apparently.

How does that make any sense?

Well, they said I'll need my original prescription and bring that in, along with my old glasses and my new glasses if I want to get a replacement lens.

My old glasses are blurry as ****. My contacts are 100% fine. My new glasses are 50% great. Not sure how else I can convey this to convince them.

So dumb. I paid $218 for these things, they better get it right.

Yeah, glasses are ridiculously expensive and I can't cover them from any benefits either.

My eyesight has been getting worse in last few years. I got new glasses from the army back in '11 but they were stolen. From my bag. On a beach. In my birthday. Who the **** would even do something like that?

Anyway, it's been 1,5 years and I still haven't gotten new ones, mainly because I'm nickel-allergic so I'd have to pay even more for titanium glasses. That, and it's only long-distance sight that's affected. I can see my computer screen and I can read just fine, it's when the object is over 2-3 meters away when it gets blurred.

Glasses suck. Every few years I have to buy a new pair because I lose or break them. And it costs like $15 and not every gas station has the right tint or look to them.

Oh, you mean actual glasses? Yeah that would suck I guess. 20/20

I wonder if my kid will need glasses. His mom's fairly blind but I've got sharp vision. My dad's got bad eyes but my mom was very sharp until about 50 where she needed cheaters.

Spent a couple hours diagnosing my guitar electronics. One stupid potentiometer was bad. Going to try and track down some copper tape and do a full shielding and re-wiring this weekend.

I finally got glasses over the summer for driving to address my slowly dwindling night vision. Did not realize how expensive they were.
