I want Gallagher to finish the year stronger in the AHL and come back next year there to dominate. If he does that then he can earn himself a promotion next year.
It's not because our team isn't so great this year that we have to keep every promising youngster here.
There's only Gally that could possibly make it. But even him, I'd rather see him dominate the OHL in the Playoffs on one of the best teams.

The question is wether he can dominate more then he did in the past 30 games. I think not and therefore it could be good to keep him arround.

Not getting it either. I guess it is only a tryout but his game, especially lack of speed, don't fit the team. I doubt he makes the team but stranger things have happened.

Have a look at Eric Fehr. Quick before some other team does!

He could very well be a nice & rather cheap fix for our 2nd line wing.

Feels good to be back man :333

Can't wait to see how Markov's KHL form translated into the season. And I use the term ''season'' lightly. It is more like a half-assed mess that's potentially going to be an ugly-looking disaster, considering most of the players are out-of-shape and are bound to be injured early in the season.

the Mike Commodore from 5-6 years ago would be a welcome addition...

the MC that could barely justify a roster spot in Hamilton? pass...

The Habs were a last place team last season. Weber and Diaz (and Kaberle but cannot see Kaberle being cast aside) were a part of the problem.........a defense that was too soft.

Commodore needs to be on the Habs roster. He can be the 7th DMan and does not have to play every game. His size and grit and ability to clear out the crease far and away is much more needed on this team than what Diaz or Weber brings to the team.

Time to let the old ways of soft Canadiens hockey go.
Using plus/minus to tell the whole story on defense.

Right, let's leave Emelin in Russia because he was a -18 last season. Sure he brings hits, but he was -18!!!!

+/- is a terrible stat unless comparing among a team (and still you need to dig deeper to find out more to that stat anyway).

Diaz was great until he got injured. He was also a rookie playing his first year on NA ice. He was a surprise and will only get better.

Weber, who knows. He had some great games but mostly bad ones.

Commodore is garbage. How many times have you even seen Hamilton this year? He's not an NHL caliber player in the slightest anymore. Injuries slowed him down far too much. There's a reason he has only seen 40-50 games in the last couple of seasons.

Not hard to see why. He throws hits and he's big. This forum has a ridiculous love for that, regardless of the caliber of the player.

I think if this team had 6 Commodores and 12 Artyukhins, some posters on this forum would have an orgasm.

He isn't enough of an offensive producer for 2nd liner duties. He has about as much offensive upside as Moen.

I'm curious to see how Gallagher will do. He doesn't have much to work with in Hamilton, plus the AHL was pretty tough this year with all the NHLers playing. I think he's having a pretty decent first season all things considered. He's second in scoring on the team and although I know he likes to shoot from anywhere, he does have an impressive humber of SOG this year with 114 in 35 games. He is also the only rookie on the team that has a positive +/- ranking at +2.

Does anybody else think that Dumont can make a decent 3rd or 4th liner in the NHL one day? He has some offensive talent and seems to like to get his nose dirty. Is hi skating an issue?

Excited for the short camp! It'll be intense I think.

Last year, the first 3 days of camp that featured scrimmages saw the stands opened up to the public. It was a mad rush to get in, you had to arrive at least 30 minutes before or else you were not going to have a place to sit.

You can walk in there at any time to watch a practice behind the glass too.

Agreed about Moen, but not with him being finished. Seen about 10 games from him live this season and he has been carrying his team in SM-league. Better stats than for most of other NHL players who were playing here.

I mean if we had to have 12 of any one Habs forward, Plekanec would be the best option.
