Team I can see Dats being traded to is Washington.

Carlson and a high pick.

No chance in Hades that Datsyuk gets traded. Yes, he is aging, but IMO the last two seasons have been his best seasons and he was a legit MVP candidate until the injury last year.

Ribeiro may not re-sign with Caps. Could be good for Ovy but I doubt Caps would be willing to give up the necessary assets.

Hesitant on giving up White, but that's the first solid offer that's made me think for a while.

I would love him on Calgary except I dont think it can be done without trading Barctschi and thats one of the only Flames I dont want to trade.
How about Bouwmeester+1st 2014+Backlund for Datysuk? Or is more needed?

Which is why stats don't tell the whole story. Brad Stuart doesn't rack up the PIM, but he isn't soft by any stretch. He can hit and is a very solid defensive defenseman.

Saying Pavel doesn't use the body just proves that people don't watch him play. He is one of the toughest players to play against. Not only because of his skills and dangling ability, he protects the puck very well. You don't need size to by physical.

37-year-old Doug Weight netted 1st + 4th + 4th for the Blues at 2006 trade deadline as a pure playoff-rental.

Some comparison. Datsyuk is the better player than Weight was, especially defensively. He would be instant impact player with his Three Selkes to some contender to jump over other contenders.

But this is not the year to speculate that, we'll see what happens at his last contract season (next year).

Datsyuk for Gagner, Kelfbom, Paajarvi, 2nd. First in there of 2014 if he resigns.

Might be garbage to some people but it's future because if Datsyuk is getting the boot its for a rebuild.
I'm a big fan haha

Good for you guys. Keep him. End threads like these where Red Wing fans want to dump the guy before he has no value at all for excellent cheap young talent and picks.

Like nobody can see through the scam.
