Zero faith in Dallas' sportscasters. Doocy might be the only decent one, but he's still halfway clueless.
This was channel 8 WFAA.
okay, i sadly couldn't find it anywhere, but this did remind me of robidas being an injury fill in at wing for a few games. surely that's what they had in mind..
We seriously are an organization continuing to live in the past.
Edit: I love how Marty says "your team deserves it," after saying lets get this building rockin again. Deserves it? We haven't made the playoffs in nearly 5 years...come on.

When it comes to roster decisions ... yes that philosophy is tired and past it's welcome.
Those videos aren't for you, me, or nearly everyone on this website though. They're for the people that were filling Reunion and the early years of the AAC who stopped coming. Those people likely don't know Jamie Benn or Loui Eriksson. These faces and names have a better shot and striking some nerve or memory to bring back some lost fans.
Seems fine IMO. Even the Cowboys do it, and they have an inferior #9.
Probably something related to promoting the team or interacting with fans. Doubt it's on the hockey ops side. No way would Modano ever put in the work required to be a scout.
At the Spengler cup one of the TSN guys said Barker signed with the Stars in the summer and was on loan from Texas to play in the Spengler cup, in an interview with Barker, and Barker should went red, gave a weak smile and said "uh yeah".

I liked Joe's commercial, better than Modano's or Turco's... Also, is it just me or does Turco look like Louis Litt from Suits?
If he takes Craig Ludwig's job, sign me up. Nothing against Luds, but I have to admit I don't like watching him on the pre-game, intermission, and post-game. I utilize FF on my DVR almost every chance I can.
Turco seems to have a great personality for the TV side. His in game interview at the All Star game, the first ever, is still the best I've seen. That was an exciting way to watch the game.

I agree Turco could be good in that role. Ludwig comes off as very matter of fact and just isnt very entertaining.
Did he announce his retirement and I just missed it, or...?
Speculation on my part, but he probably hasn't eliminated the option of playing again. He's clearly staying in shape. I doubt he's actively searching for a job to start the season, but if something came up down the line ..... who knows.
