Just kicking this idea around a little bit...i know its unpopular but i think it would be pretty cool to do a GM mode with up to date post-lockout rosters. Since we're only 1 season in and a lot of GMs are new anyway, would starting the league over be a terrible idea? Sorry, dont want to stir anything up but i was just wondering. Would be cool if Drouin and Jones were in the league.
There is no way to use updated rosters for GMC at the moment.
Regardless of what you pick (current, custom, default, etc.), it uses the same rosters. Perhaps this will change once real hockey begins again, but at the moment, it is purely hypothetical.

I would be interested in restarting if you could have the new updated rosters, but i think we already figured out that you cant use them online for GMC. But im fine with taking some extra time to do a GM check.

I'd be 100% for it.. I haven't made a single trade in this league yet.. so nothing hurts me.
If we do do a reboot, can we consider the option of random rosters, kinda would like to try that out since most everybody is already in a fixed team league.

On the one hand, you're right. Most of the leagues are default, so most of us have played only with fixed teams. On the other hand, one of the reasons for starting a new mode would be to use the updated prospect OV / POT, which is more appealing when a prospect is connected to their proper team.
And activity check would be great, two more ree sign days ideal. My .02

prospects are connecting to there team in random rosters anyways if there is no way of using updated roster for GM Connected I still wouldn't mind doing a random rosters league.

seems to be the case. maybe we need someone to fill in for the fill-in.
as long as we don't advance THROUGH 3 blocks of resign, and yet advance TO each one with set times. whether throughout a whole day or within 12 hours, as long as the opportunity is there. You know, rather than go straight to free agent signings.
I'm a patient person, as long as the important stuff, like resign, isnt glossed over. especially considering a whole day was lost for no reason today.
After reading the Bluth playoff thread I can see how he got caught up and forgot. Just as long as he is able to advance early tomorrow.
I accidentally gave up one of my 84 overall defenseman because of that stupid buyout thing (which ended up giving me the buyout money back randomly so now I have the cap space to offer him a contract), so I am a little eager to get into free agency and use that cap space on somebody.
I think the problem is that there's a lot of GM's who likely haven't yet started to re-sign any of their players, so we're probably going to see an "Activity Check" shortly, and replace any GM's who have become inactive.
Activity check will be all of today. We'll resume the offseason on goings tomorrow just so we're sure GMs have enough time to sign their players.

Also, is traveling today, but I believe he is committed to the league going forward.
(I don't know whether either of these guys have gotten their contract offers in--if not, it is a problem, but if they have, don't take a failure to post here today as a sign they aren't interested).
