Oh yeah the everywhere cocaine thread was hilarious.

The summer when we signed all those free agents and the months prior when Vinny was "a lock" in everyone's lineup, that was gold.

A personal favourite is when I met "Coldplay" in real life and we had a full conversation about HF before realizing we knew each other from here
Also, what happened to H10H? Why was he banned? He was one of my favourites. Someone can PM me or something. Curious if anyone remembers me.
I remember you brah! We had some good GDTs us two. Haha

I also miss H10H.

I best remember the Habs-Bruins Game 7 from two seasons ago and the day in December 2011 that Martin got fired.

It'd be Gomez, Gionta, Cammy vs. McDonagh and Hossa.

I'll take option number 2.

I made the unfortunate error of continuing into it for another year and a half after he left this place.

By far one of my favourite posters when he was being comedic, it was under the armour scathing at times.

I liked the B's fan ratting out the Habs board for vote rigging in the ASG and than coming to post about it.

My favorite thread is one of a while back, where Yahoo.com, NHL.com, along with other hockey statistics sites had a weird bug going on, where this mysterious Strazzobosco was playing for at least 6 teams at once, in addition to showing up in other sports.

http://hfboards.hockeysfuture.com/sh...d.php?t=291024

Still cracks me up.

Being a middle age poster I understand why HF lose some posters over time. I didn't post anything on this board for 3 years I had to do something else. Chezz and Mcphee I know are no youngsters they moved on. I'm not sure about the others. Wives and girlfriends and children all help us move on. Female posters and lurkers show yourself help us all move on

Do you remember the Hackett love, when we used his stats (good %) to argue he was among the best goalies in the NHL ?

I've been here since around 97-98 but I leave for extended periods of time. 2002 was one of those, I think I had no PC at that time too.

Nic29 made a thread in the lounge about old HF people. You'll see some vets there.

And I agree, we lost tons of gems in the 2002 crash. I miss Tortrader's threads, the crazy Leafs fan that was making 8 for 1 offers (the 8 leafs worst assets for 1-2 young stars) and was convinced that they were fair.

didn't someone create program that continuously selected the habs players?

Then, the nhl switched the number of votes based on what the believed to be correct and finally added the human password part to prevent the program from functioning. Nonetheless, the All star game voting and the 100th year had many hilarious moments and this was right near the top.

Yup, some of us really defended him and with good reason.

His parents were at one of those games and told the reporters he was better than his brother. Five goals in four games... Marcel's teasing is one of my favorite moment over here too.

Can't remember his name, but Boston's poster that kept saying ''Viva La Vachon Cake'' talking about Theodore was hilarious. Also, Bruins fans comparing Theodore to Jim Carey (the goaltender) was funny as well. The moral victory days were great.

The trade deadline threads are always special. As a longtime poster over here, I've learned to lower my expectations. But there's always that ''IF'' or ''MAYBE'' that is resulting in some kind of disappointment in the end.

MOD

The Lucic one had a special announcement that let us know we weren't allowed to use it anymore. Hopefully this thread is exempt from such stipulations. If not, an edit will have to be made on my part.

Edit: Of course the smiley for : whatever used to be a lot different.
