Seems that Vail's name has been mentioned for teams in need to far in the playoffs. Good news if it happens. Would like to see Sarnia being involved. Every team but them as moved or close to it. And if Gally needs to go down, while Vail might not be the answer, Sting needs to address the wingers he will play with.

great glove save by Whitney on the breakaway to rob Hudon of his second goal of the game. Really good game again for Hudon killing penalties generating offense and so on.

You have to take into consideration Victoriaville has just traded away Danault and Vance. Sidlick not back with the team either but still.

Maybe a 3rd pair/PP guy if things go well. RT @rffspinz: @coreypronman have any opinion on Mac Bennett? Is he a prospect in your opinion?

Here's Hudon's shorty (+ assist) for those who want to see it.

Hudon is a fantastic special teams player.

He has so much talent though. Depends of the number of contracts we have available next year for prospects. I sign Dietz and Thrower way before him, and if Bennett wants to turn pro, it's a no-brainer. Then you can add Collberg who could possibly come, Nygren, Pribyl, Walsh and Kristo.

There won't be many contracts left for Olivier. It will all depend on that. Schultz will be gone that's for sure. Do you keep Stejskal? Palushaj? Mayer? Nash seems like history now with the Habs so that's another contract gone.

It will be interesting to follow though. I'd definitely rather have him with the Dogs than 'say Lefebvre.
What are his linemates like? Wondering why he's not putting up more points

He was usually playing with Brouillard and one of Malouin/Verrier.

Brouillard is very talented and works his tail off. Malouin and Verrier played with them for the grit and to win board battles.

Those two are pretty good offensive players this year in the 'Q, so if you don't like his production so far, I wouldn't totally blame them.

Brouillard was traded to the Titans a few days ago, so his line might have changed. Have yet to watched the DRU/BC game I PVR'd, probably was a new line for Olivier, I'll keep you posted.

Looks like he may have had a long PK shift before he gets the puck.
Whatever the questions about his skating, they don't show there !

Matt Slovin ‏@MattSlovin

Junior defenseman Mac Bennett will be out a few weeks, maybe longer, with a lower-body injury.

Yikes...I wouldn't be surprised if it was longer. That D went so low he sat down.

Bad freakin injury for Mac....Has to be a season-ending injury....not sure what it will mean for his signing or not. We do have to retain this guy.

Really interesting summer that is coming though with all those prospects to sign or not. The only guy I might see not signing is Walsh. But even him, I,d sign him. Just wasn't lucky all those years. But there's so many contracts you can give.

Just got done watching the Michigan game from last night (the big 10 network only showed it on tape delay). Getting shelled by Bowling Green at home, yikes. I don't if I've ever seen Michigan look so bad, it's like watching Hamilton except in addition to the offense problems their goaltending is just not good at all.

Tough night for Bennet as he was a -3 and on the ice for 4 of the 5 goals against plus he went into the boards hard on the 5th goal against and then of course the clip to his knee. The good news was that none of the goals against were really his fault as the first was just poor goaltending imo, the 2nd his D partner was caught in no mans land, the 3rd he did get out muscled behind the net but it went to the point and then the goalie was screened, the final goal he went into the boards hard but the rest of his teammates didn't give much support.

I don't know how long he'll be out but he did manage to get up on his own and he skated to the bench on his own and didn't leave the game. But not happy about him being moved off the top pairing and top PP because Merrill is back. The big 10 network tv announcers in the pre-game had Bennett as the spotlight guy for Michigan as they said he's a smooth skating D that is a solid NHL prospect.

He didn't leave the game? But now we have the reports that he's probably going to miss weeks if not more......Was that a false report? Or should the docs in Michigan be fired?
