I was in Beijing last year (12 timezones away). The jetlag os brutal.

1 timezone = 1 day of recovery. I'd be surprised if Yak and Nuge were at 100% when the season starts.

I don't see it being a problem. Professional hockey players are very good at adjusting their time schedules (although, admittedly it's usually not as big of a change as from europe), and if you do lots of travelling, jetlag is a much smaller problem than for the average folk. Considering there is still like 11 days until the season starts, they should be fine. Might be a tad off for the first day or so of camp, but that's it.

You're just not use to it. I rarely get jet lagged and I've been to Asia probably more than a dozen times.

It really isn't too bad if you prepare yourself, I've traveled back and forth between Perth (same timezone as Beijing) and Edmonton a few times. Melatonin is great for resetting your clock.

I don't know it always depends on the person, some people feel it some don't.

Funny I don't feel jetlagged for a day going between here and Vancouver.

Nice to see Yakupov has arrived. I can't wait to see him on the ice with the rest of the guys finally.

Nail gets into town BEFORE RNH going to prove that Russians are far more trustworthy than people from Vancouver.

Seriously though this tweet made me just as happy as the lockout's over one did. Now I just need the arena deal to get done for a good news week on twitter.

In the summer he said he bought/rented a house for his family to stay in. Presumably they are still coming over.

Quick notes for Yakupov, if you are perusing this thread:

Go to the mall. Wear a jacket. Don't hit Eberle in the face with your face. Don't hit Hall in the face with your face.

The Yak is Back ! So happy to hear he got here, it was a big surprise before Nugent-Hopkins. I didn't want him spending too much time with those other pesky Russians.

I feel like cracking open a beer after finding out that we have finally extracted Yakupov out of Russian airspace.

Now if we can just find out which eastern European hostel that RNH is stranded at so we can mail him a plane ticket, all would be right in the world.
