I know he was called up for backup duty and got to finish up some of their games before the WJC but I wonder if there is any connection to the comments he made at the tournament about Salavat Yulaev not giving him a chance.

According to the boxscore he even got an assist on that opening goal.

gets a shutout on his debut! Dinamo looked drawn and quartered without their top line, but still great job!
maybe his start has something to do with recent head coach replacement in Ufa.

I didn't watch the whole game but as far as I could tell he was rock solid. Love his all white gear and Lightning mask, too.

Korobov had 13 shots for the entire season, he had 7 shots tonight. It looks like someone told him to show his offense skills.

One of the big reasons i'm excited about the lockout being over - this kid needs ice time.

Still not official yet, but Windsor's not a bad place for him to go. Bob Boughner is a good coach and Koekkoek will have some help from guys like Nick Ebert and Patrick Sieloff.

Rychel says Koekkoek is a top-end talent.

“Anytime you can acquire a player like Slater, it's great,” Rychel said. “We needed a frontline defenceman. And he is one of the top players in the world at his position. We are looking forward to Slater joining us tonight.”

Koekkoek will travel to Windsor today and is expected to play this evening versus Brampton.
Dotchin also traded

Well the Koekkoek trade is really nice, let's see if he can manage to get a better +- now
And the Dotchin trade isn't much of a change for Jake right? he goes from a good team to an other good team.

Here are the OHL standings,
http://www.ontariohockeyleague.com/standings/show

Koekkoek went from a bad team to another bad team, but at least with better management. Dotchin from a good team to another good team.

Oh didn't noticed Windsor place, but they might get some more point with Koekkoek as they were slightly better without him then the PEtes with him
