So apparently Luke Schenn was offered to Vancouver at the draft for Luongo.

So I'm guessing Vancouver wants Brayden which makes it even worse.

Heard it here first people. Three way deal. Florida, Philly, and Vancouver

Flyers get Kulikov

Vancouver gets Grossman, 3rd(Flyers 2014) and Harry z

Panthers get Loungo, Flyers 1st, Flyers 2nd(2014) and John Leclair.

Edler is worth Couterier and a #1. If you break the deal down like that......and say Luongo in exchange for Bryzgalov, it's terrible for Vancouver.
48 games of Edler is not worth Couturier and a first.

This legit scares me. If we can upgrade bryz to luongo for cheap then great, but giving up anything substantial is not worth it.

Sorry, the assumption I didn't make clear was that the Edler would agree to an extension with the Flyers in advance.

Pardon the naivety, but can you tell me more about Grossman? I don't know much about him, and from what I can gather, he seems to be a solid #5-6 defenceman, with little offensive ability. Is he just a rock solid defensive stud?

There's no way we're getting Schenn, is there?

I guess there's something in the new CBA that says the Flyers can use four skaters and two goalies.

Big guy. Blocks a ton of shots. Wouldn't call him a stud though....

He will be slotted with Coburn in the top 4. He came in last year and really solidified our Defense for the most part until a few cheap shots by the Penguins took him down a level. They were our best pairing for the last 20 or so games + the playoffs

Yeah, since MG could've done Lu for Luke, but he declined.

Our biggest need is a C.

Stay at home guy. Makes a decent first pass. No offense. Not real mobile but shows a burst when needed. Pretty physical. Was a rock before he got hurt.

I understand that but Brayden wasn't touchable in a trade for Shea Weber. He's not going to be moved in a deal for a goalie.

The whole wording of Grossmann and then the back up plan being Schenn makes no sense.

Could Vancouver use a buyout on Luongo?

Assuming he was not signed, I'd agree. I don't suspect that would be an issue. PHilly may be the most desirable destination in the NHL for most players.
