Here here. Was going to be really pissed if we had that 7x division schedule. Bad enough already I don't get to see the Stars hit the East this year, that would have been brutal.

Any idea when it'll be out. Keep checking but no news. Hoping for tomorrow. Good start Vs. Phoenix if true.

That's what I saw too. First game being on the 19th at home against St. Louis. Second being on the 20th at St. Louis.

St Louis opens against Detroit. But we do get them on game 2 of the b2b.

DET @ STL per Michigan-Detroit sports site.

Saturday night ... media blitz in full swing ... Cowboys sucked and are done ... Mavs are bad and not getting better this year ... Texas Rangers haven't started yet ... College FB is done too.

These guys are the only show in town right now. I'm going with 11,000 +, and I'm hoping to see even more of that. That have to seize this opportunity before the Rangers are going to win people over.

Actually think it'll be a pretty good crowd (well in perspective of last season at least) for the reasons BigG posted. Mavs sucking, the Cowboys done, College Football done, and the Rangers not yet underway really puts this thing there for the taking imo.

Everything BigG said + first game of the season. I'll go 13,500.

Could be a fun year for callups:

That means prospects!! RT @CraigCustance: Spoke with coach who seen his team's schedule: "It's an eye-opener.. you're going to need people."
In on of Jim Lites first interviews, he said 10 guys in Texas could be future NHLers (something like that), but in a later interview he said we could probably see 6 or 8 of them this year. Maybe he's right.

reading this, i can't help but think that the timing of this lockout is a bit serendipitous for us stars fans. clearly, a full season is preferable, but a normal start time would have buried the stars on the back pages of the morning news (for those of us still reading newspapers) and of the average dallasite's mindshare.

Over. I really don't see the lockout having that big of an impact on the Dallas area hockey fans. I say Dallas turns out a normal home opening crowd...I know I'll be there as usual.

Still saying it won't happen until the actual memo is signed which may not officially happen on Saturday.

Sounds like the memo not being completed though will not delay trades and signings.

I think they just said all tickets go on sale the 16th so we'll obviously know by then at least.

Yeah, you're probably right. I don't expect to see anything official until this entire process is completed but now that the schedules have been finalized and distributed to teams I feel a little better. Just ready to see some hockey.

Heika also confirmed 10 of first 15 on road, and no 3 games in 3 nights.

Bettman said the schedule would be released when the players ratify it.

well the last few years Dallas has always gotten off to good starts, if they can survive this opening stretch with a .500 record then the worst of it will be over and they can focus on picking up the lion's share of the points at home.

if on the other hand they come out of there 4-11 or something they can just about scrub the season.

On the plus side, if they come out strong by the time they play a glut of home games the news will have spread around Dallas and you might have more than 5,000 people coming to watch them play. Still a really ****** schedule to start with. With any hope they do a bit better than .500 on the road and win more than one b2b, which might not be pretty seeing as how half of the top 6 is on the older side.
