Yup that's the exact trade I heard. So unless something changes that's the way its going to go down. Peterborough keeps giving their stars up for nothing. Every year its the same thing
I agree its a trade that works for me
Koekkoek,Seiloff,Ebert and Murphy are 18 and younger,i like that quartet moving forward
Sad to say but Id keep Bateman Over Bowen as a 6th D every Day of the week and I'm not a Bateman fan...if Bateman stays Bowen should take Bilckes role till he heals up.
So I'm betting Clarke didn't have a no-trade clause and the Pete's wanted a player back. The seconds being one in 2014 and one in 2015 means we have three still in 2014, which means we have the means to upgrade still for next season.
As for Alonge - we'd be at the 4 month time line of the 4-6 month recovery BUT unless we had signed him to an A-Card already, you'd have to imagine having an open A-Card remaining would be more valuable than Alonge. He had mentioned before that he was going to take it slower to comeback, but at the same time recognized that trying to make the team and league as an OA would be a long shot so maybe he's pressing to come back to get in a couple months this season.

They may have signed him to one assuming he would be back at some point this season.
I assume Posa was traded because he'd be looking at greatly diminished ice time here moving into the bottom pair. I like a Sanvido/Posa bottom pair, but Bateman was probably untradeable - WR didn't want to give him away considering the price he paid for him.
Going off memory, yes. Now that I think about it, I recall someone saying he played there in the past?

Boughner has used a five man defence rotation in the past. So Koekkoek, Sieloff, Ebert, Murphy and Sanvido get the PT with Bowen dressing as the 6th but not playing a regular shift.
Then you move Bateman up to the wing to see what he can do up there, maybe take the pressure off him a bit while his lack of physicality isn't a complete detriment.

Yes I can see both flip flopping back and forth, the next 29 games will be treated like playoffs, best players get the ice time and some shortening of bench time
There has to be more in the deal than is being reported. Otherwise Rychel just burned the Petes really badly. Has the league ever vetoed a trade? Seems like everybodies "source" in the twittersphere could be Gene Peireria.
In the very least both 2nd rounders will probably be the best pick of our multiples in each of 2014 (SAR 2nd, NIA 2nd, SAG 2nd, LDN 2nd) and 2015 (NIA 2nd, SUD 2nd).
Also neither are conditional, so maybe the Pete's are betting on Slater playing in the pro's next year whereas Rychel is gambling that he will not.
Fans and media will definitely need a program tomorrow nite when the Spits take on the Brampton Battallion at the WFCU
Players who did not play against Plymouth in the last home game and expected to suit up
Newcomers,Aleardi,Koko,Giftopoulous,Koekkoek, retur ning from tournament committments Hosang and Seiloff
Departed players who were in the lineup are Maletta,Posa,Mcnaughton,Lorentz,Clarke,as well as rookie Brown and maybe Bowen
Oh I forgot to add Studnicka to that list of those who did not suit up vs Whalers that day, making it 7 skaters out of 18

Have you seen the trades this teams management has done the past couple years theyve gotten burned on Watson, Puemple, and now Koekkoek and theres probably more.. The thing is no one wants to go there and Koekkoek had a NTC and controlled his destination...
Solid lineup though I am tempted to switch Verbeek with Clark as he has registered 3 pts in his last 2 games as his play seems to be getting better, along with more confidence
People on Peterborough fan boards are really ripping the Petes for getting fleeced in this deal
Maybe Mark Hunter is not the only Gm who can take people to the cleaners
This time Warren dont brag

I just want confirmation...official "this is done" stuff. My guess is league is snoozin so it'll happen tomorrow...at least, I hope.

Understand what you're saying but let's be realistic here Koekkoek hasn't been that good, he has put up points but awful in his own zone and very much a riverboat gambler. There weren't many fits out there for Koekkoek I bet.

My guess is that Yzerman in TBay probably knows his strengths and weaknesses
and drafted him 10th overall to prove it
