Toronto board re-analyzing the Lombardi/Franson for Lebda deal. They're amazed how poorly it turned out for them and realizing they still have to pay for it (we have their 4th round pick in the upcoming draft).
Not an invitation to flame over there or pull those posts here, but I was :lmao thinking of how well they viewed that trade when it went down and how many here were ready for Poile to retire after that deal.

The day that trade happened, I was calling for Poile's head. This is why he is the GM and I'm a fan.
In Poile We Trust
EDIT: FYI, i got a beauty of a gold Preds sweatshirt for Christmas. Not sure if it still is this way, but the person who got it for me said it was half off (~$15) due to the lockout. Good deals could be all over the place, if you can stomach buying NHL gear right now.

The key in that deal was Franson and what he would turn out to be. He could still be a nice piece for a team, but he certainly wasn't what Toronto was expecting after about 4-6 months. It's looking mighty fine from the Preds pov right now.
It's so tough to find Preds gear here unless you order it online. The closest I've found was a pretty basic preds cap at LIDS. There is a store downtown called RealSports that has some preds gear, but the prices are idiotic. It's pretty awesome wearing a Sullivan Jersey or preds cap around town. You just know that you'll be the only one. I've had a few people come up to me and ask about the gear. Got some props from people who grew up in nashville. Nice folks.
I got hockey for Christmas... in the form of a Hartford Whalers jersey.
Long live the Brass Bonzana! I grew up in the mall. Met Stu Grimson there for the first time, watched Brent Peterson finish his NHL career. Lots of great memories from the days of the Whalers, but very proud to be a Nashville Predators fan now!
I still haven't bought a gold jersey and the one gamer out there is beyond my current price range right now .... but i might be able to get a prototype white alternate jersey similar to the ones worn at casino night 2011.
I was scared to death over my grades this fall, and I finally worked up the nerve to look at them... said fear was totally unwarranted. May will quite likely mark the end of my academic career. I never thought it was actually going to happen.

Is that a very circuitous way of saying you are going to graduate?
Erie is my hometown. At least you got to see Connor McDavid play.
No. I didn't half of the teams were in UFA or a jr tourney in Quebec.
But I do have to say what was there was better than DIV III level. Terry Crisp's nephew, Connor played (God I hope the Preds draft him with a late pick) The prime minster played, Stephen Harper. (Hope the Preds draft him with a mid pick) Missed McKenneon but hey maybe the Preds can draft him with an early pick

I suppose it is. I just never thought the day would come that I would actually be done with school and get to start my career. After covering pro baseball this summer, I'm more than ready for the experience of being out from under the weight of all this academia...

Suprised McDavid didn't play.. he should win OHL rookie of the year as an underage player. He's going to be the real deal. I know he wasn't on team Canada, didn't know there were any other tournaments going on.

that sucks. I need to make it up there and see him play. My dad used to work for the Otters so I'm trying to get him to get me a jersey. Would be a great investment, especially an authentic or game worn.

I tried to buy one but my hotel put a hold on my card which kept my jersey cash from me.
