I wasn't really expecting an issue, but with all the hoopla from the KHL over the past days, the mind sometimes goes to unreasonable places.

Very good to see Nail in town. It's going to be nice having scoring from more than one line.

I thought he was buying or renting a house in Edmonton and getting his parents to move over as well?

Yeah I remember reading this too. His mom and sister were coming over to help him feel at home.

Hey, whatever he needs to feel comfortable. I just want him scoring goals.

I think RNH is home? As in BC. He tweeted that he was home a couple of days ago. I wondered if he meant OKC but it makes more sense if he went home to his family.

Nice to hear Yak is in town.

Sounds like he plans to make 64 his offical number as well.

"EDMONTON - Nail Yakupov’s career as an Edmonton Oiler is about to begin. The 5'11", 185-pound right-winger arrived in Edmonton late Wednesday night in preparation for camp, which is expected to open with fitness and medical testing Sunday at Rexall Place..."

House I'm living at is not far from Rexall and has 2 rooms open. I'll host Yak and any other willing Oilers.

Yeah, I assumed that was the case. During Oil Kings games they were selling Yakupov merch with 64 as the number.

Not sure it's physically possible for him to have any less success with it.

True enough.

Doubt we have to worry about Tambo being mean and sarcastic to him either.

Yeah, he didn't really have the makeup for the pressures of pro hockey.

Might have done better in this era, but back then when people like Keenen were common place throughout the NHL, he was a lamb going to the slaughter.

As funny as that is, you gotta think: who does this punk Russian kid think he is waltzing into town and eyeballing our Captain's number.

Hall and eberle might not like that. This isn't Columbus, this is the legendary Oilers. He's gonna have to earn it. Probably a lot more than than the Canadian picks did.

Edit: Taylor Hall kinda did the same thing, I wonder how the reaction will be this time. I think I see some similarities between them.

That makes sense, now that you mention it I thought I read that somewhere as well.

This is the same thing Ovechkin did in DC.

@EdmontonOilers: More #Oilers returning to Rexall today as Ryan Smyth, Jeff Petry and Ryan Whitney have arrived and will take to the ice later
@EdmontonOilers: Some guy named Nail just got here too. Yakupov arrives at Rexall alongside Belanger and fellow Russian Khabibulin http://t.co/Zn2xD756

A lot of oilers have arrived yet the captain is still a no show
