Agreed, he took a lot of heat for other bad deals and probably didn't want to sell the farm for Lou.

MLSE thought otherwise and wants Lou.

My thinking is that he didn't want to trade for Luongo, due to his contract and possibly other concerns. Goaltending is the teams obvious weakness and I'm fairly sure Burke and the ownership had entirely different feelings on the matter, so they fired him.

So the BoG approved the CBA 30-0. Who exactly is the BoG for the Coyotes? And I'm not talking representatives/associates or whatever. Who is the head honcho Coyote representative for the BoG?

Luongo would have to be ****ing insane to agree to play in TO.

It's great (for everyone that isn't a Leaf fan) to see that the new ownership groups has been more than able to continue the team's growing legacy of clueless executive decisions.

Who is this T.O. clown Anselmi, and why are the Maple Leaf fans anxious about him?

Going from Burke to Nonis.

I'm going to make you Winnipeg people very angry/jealous now .... but I'll do it anyway:

That's what the Lightning did yesterday for 200 season tickets. Selling them for 200 Dollar :>
The tickets were sold in 3 hours (just for your interest).

So it took them longer in the drive to 200 than it did Winnipeg in the drive to 13,000

I am sure the regular every day season ticket holders are thrilled with the price they are paying for their tickets today.

It looks to be a one time thing to fill some seats.

The STH's aren't getting any less for their money.

It's like being upset if someone uses a coupon to get into a movie and sits next to you.

Good for him. Sign him for barely more than league minimum. Certainly not worth a 2.5 mil to retain his RFA rights. I hope he does well enough there.

Interesting that they'd want him back.

It's barely more than league minimum, he had a strong half season in Europe, and they know what he can do. If he doesn't work out, they don't sign him at the end of the season. It was a savvy, cost effective move.

The Fehr thing worked out pretty well for the Caps, if he does sign there. Jets took him off their roster and took care of his salary for a good chunk of last year, got a pick from the Jets, and now get to re-sign him for league minimum.

I still think that experiment was worth a shot though. I like Fehr, and hope he lights it up against everyone BUT the Jets.
