Montreal is looking for a strong, faceoff winning #1 center.
hoping to move Plekanec+ to get one of equal or better value. willing to go blockbuster and add Gorges/Markov. No one is untouchable for the right center.

One of these days, I'm going to tax you for plagerizing my trade block format.
Looking ahead, I have about $35 million in cap space this offesason (assuming Pronger does not retire and without taking into account any cap increase) and only a half-dozen guys to sign. I'm pretty happy with the look of my team for next season. Since I will easily have $15-20 million left over and since I'm not overly optimistic about the UFA market, I'm willing to take on a pure cap dump if anyone has a need. I can do it at the draft, freeing you from the obligation during the resign phase. Depending on the player, I might want a bit of consideration for my troubles.
Also possibly shopping for a defenseman, depending on whether Pronger and / or Timonen retire.
will be looking for an heir apparent to Brodeur after this playoff is over. Someone young most likely as Brodeur still has another year in him i'd say.
On another note I just realized that macdonald (my winger) is my best face-off guy. Guess he'll be my #2 center next season, and wish I knew that earlier lol
I was told you get 2 trades per season (trade deadline, draft, fa period)
So why would the trade cutoff be on draft day when
A. This hasn't been a year cycle yet, which is a waste for teams like me who saved my trades for this period.
