lol...good answer!

I want kuli too, but no way Fla does this deal...

Fla interest is just like ours..."call me when you are ready to dump him."

Any GM that gives up more than 3rd for Lou should be fired immediately.

If Homer didn't move Couturier or Schenn for Weber, he's not gonna move them for Gardiner or Franson.

Hartnell just signed a 6 year deal with a NTC. He's not moving. Simmonds has been rumoured to be on Gillis' radar before. I think a Dman would have to come back. Would MA Bourdon be available?

Wasn't the asking price for Weber Coots+Schenn, not either/or?

A lot of these national guys are hacks. If they can't get Schenn, then they aint getting Couturier either. They have roughly the same value, if anything Couturier has more being younger.

Pretty sure it was just one of them. Just shows how valuable Coots and Schenn are to the Flyers.

Homer holds onto his prospects, he throws his picks around. I doubt Schenn or Couturier are going anywhere.

Zero chance Couts.

Luongo is a wash...he's 33, signed for 9 more years (which he certainly will not play) and at a relatively high cap hit. The recapture rule is being named the "luongo rule" for Christ sakes.

Lol this is all such a folly. We are beyond incompatible as trade partners, unless you want to dump the contract.

It was both. And we said they were non starters anyway.

Just out of curiosity, did Paul Holmgren asked them what Vancouver want in exchange of Roberto Luongo? Or he is really trying to make a deal with Mike Gillis right now?

It was Schenn and Couturier +++.

No way I'd trade either of them for Luongo though.

As of now, I believe he is just asking about him.

the reported thing was we are interested in luongo.

It probably went like this:

Ph: hi mike, I saw luongo wants out...what's the price?
Mg: how about Brayden...<click>.
Mg: hello? Paul? Are you there?

Agreed. Only roster player I'd be willing to part with is Matt Read.

So Homer may be willing to move one for a #1 D-Man, just not both. I have no idea how that would work, and will not make a proposal, but it's possible that a 3 way trade is worked out involving Couts/Schenn for a top flight D-Man.

This rumor isn't necessarily the Flyers being interested in Luongo. There is just no way Homer would move any player of significance for RL.

I don't think he'd be willing to move either. Coots and Schenn were Poile's asking price for Weber. I don't think Homer ever offered either of them.

we said Couts and Schenn were off the table period.

I would think that the only way we would consider them in play is if we were talking about pietrangelo, OEL, Gubrandson, ect.

I don't understand why it is so difficult to understand the difference between and/or.

Cooter and Schenn = Both
Cooter or Schenn = One or the other.

Homer would not move both for Weber, but maybe he would move one of them for a very good #1 D-Man.
