Need to know more about how the process would work? Are there multiple rounds?...choose a position, positions are assigned, second round for those that didn't get their first choice. Or would we rank our top 3? Or something else?

no, i simply PM'd spitfire11 to do what he has done many time in the past after we have reached the number of teams wanted (32 was what several GMs said).
then you TDMM suddenly objected to it after i had already announced i'd pm'd him... then he showed up to do it and at least three gms eagerly have awaited it
nix it if you want - you have the mod power to control the board
Talking about making hasty decisions. Who decided that we would draw the lottery before all the rules were agreed upon? Who decided we were doing a draw this time? I guess it's the people who are online the more often that decide about those rules ... Another swell start to the ATD!

Unlike certain other posters, I don't want to dictate the rules of the board myself.

Start a POLL thread to go with the precedent habit of spitfire's drawn draft ranking OR TDMM"s idea of having everyone choose their draft order. That seems like the fair way to meet his concerns.

People can sway for different rules depending on their position in the draft. It's not a big deal, but it would of been nice that those decisions would of been made as a group, and not by a few posters that were online when the 32nd team registered.

Unfortunately, it is too late to change the draft position. I would believe this will be the order for the 2014 ATD draft.

the PM was sent yesterday when God Made Me was the Teepees, but he changed it today to co-GM with you... so Teepee's name spot would be Mercurys I guess (if that order is used, if not declared invalid/mod deleted).

I think everyone can agree that there were unresolved issues when the lottery took place. We should vote on the pick your own spot issue, then do a 2nd lottery regardless of what the outcome is, so the recently picked draft positions have no effect on a GM's vote.
