I know nothing about TML players, who does Bozak and Kadri compare to on the Flyers?

not seeing the Flyers dealing Couturier or Schenn. They already dealt one forard for a defenseman. Cant see thae same thing happening again. Maybe if Laughton come in and blows everyone away it could happen. Even then I think Read stands a better chance of being traded then any of the young kids IMO

I know nothing of Bozak. The Flyers have zero need for Kadri. He's not good defensively, bordering on flat-out bad at times. We don't need that.

He also can't manage to stick on a fairly weak team...I don't think he has a spot on the Flyers. He's entering "bust" territory, if he isn't already there. He's shown very little, aside from a hot streak to start his NHL stint last year which ended with a long cold streak.

Homer would not move both for Weber, but maybe he would move one of them for a very good #1 D-Man.
I said Homer wouldn't move EITHER of them. Poile asked for both, and Homer never offered either of them.

I think he was asking what is a comparable package from the flyers for Luongo. My guess is Read + Laughton.

And I don't know what is
So difficult to understand about homer reportedly saying that none of giroux, Couts, or Schenn would be in any deal for weber.

Not even 1 for 1 straight up. Off the table period.

I don't want to read through 15 pages, so does anyone want to give me a brief update?

I honestly would rather have Bryz than Luongo, so i'm hoping that this doesn't happen

Tyler Bozak is a good two way forwards, in my opinion he is a perfect third line center on a good team.

For Nazem Kadri, he is a good minor league player, but still hasn't proved yet that he is NHL ready. Or that he as potential to be a top 6 forward.

We reportedly called about luongo.

Vancouver fans think they are getting couturier. Flyer fans lol and say how about a bag of pucks, we already have our own problems.

Eklund says no. There is probably little that has actually happened.

Perhaps. Kadri has barely ourproduced Wellwood, for comparison. He's also worse than Wellwood defensively.

If anything I could see

Philly: Gardiner, Ballard/Tanev
Toronto: Lou
Vancouver: Read, Grossman

Vancouver gets secondary scoring and grit on the blue line.
Toronto gets Lou without giving up any offense, which they don't have extra.
Philly gets a young puck mover with a lot of potential and a third pairing dmen. Tanev would be better but I would think Vancouver would throw in Ballard as a salary dump instead.

My favorite team is the Flyers ... And my 2nd favorite is the Canucks. They are the only 2 teams I follow...

But even I call him "Swiss Cheese Luongo" every time he steps onto the ice. We don't need him in Philly.

I read somewhere that Holmgren was asked about it and merely laughed it off. Not sure if that's a good thing or bad thing when talking about Holmgren haha

Weber wasn't signed and the deal would have been made with the uncertainty of a new CBA. Those are pretty big factors to consider whether or not Holmgrens stance would change on trading one of either Schenn/Coots. Now with the CBA determined, he may change his mind... Just sayin.

Giroux shouldn't even be discussed.

Who knows? Holmgren also reportedly told Carter he wouldn't trade him.

I don't see why Holmgren would tell anyone of his intentions, everyone would have leverage in negotiations with him. "Lie" all you want Paul, it's cool with me!

I don't know that Toronto gives up Gardiner for Luongo though.

Well...they wouldn't have with Burke there. Who knows what Nonis has been ordered to do.

offer we couldn't refuse. Replace carter with a younger jv, get the #8 pick.

I'd do that deal any day of the week.

I think also the key is if we wouldnt trade Couts/Schenn for widely considered the best dman in hockey we still won't trade them for lesser players.

And we had no problem signing weber to whatever contract...look at what he signed...

Great for flyers...horrid for Vancouver.

Laughton has a LONG way to go to live up to his draft spot.

You honestly believe that Vancouver will get more for a recently Injured pending UFA who they may not be able to resign than a C that was a first round pick last year and is improving and another 1st round pick? According to a lot of Canucks fans, a 3rd line center is a team need.

Not a fan of it from the Flyers perspective. Elder is ufa at the end of the year for Laughton and a 1st round pick in a draft being compared to 2003 as far as depth of talent. I don't think the Flyers should move that 1st unless they were getting someone really special and cheap. The Flyers could get Elder for free this summer and I don't think he is the final piece for a cup run this year.
