no i think he's done.
He'll get campolied.
Already had a slim chance of signing anywhere, add to that that he was fight the nhl with the nhlpa in a predominant role and i'm pretty sure Darchy is done being a hockey player and starts being a RDS personality or will become part of habs management (i personally want him around the team just not on the team lol)

Not bad of a life though.
He's dreams came true, got some decent pays (and since he's smart i'm sure he took the big pays and was smart with them) and now can potentially get a job that while doesnt pay as much as he was making before, will make more than most of us and probably still have the random commercial on tv

According to Martin McGuire (http://www.985sports.ca/) the following players were already on the ice in Brossard donning the CH:

Moen
Gorges
Bourque (new #17; said he is very confident)
Armstrong
Desharnais
Gionta
Weber (received a lot of ice time during the lockout; hope to bring this momentum/confidence here)
Eller
Cole
Prust
Pacioretty
Bouillon

Dudley, Therrien and Carrière were present.

And some outsiders: Darche, Hamrlik, Letang

Price, Budaj and Markov should be there within 24 hours and Plekanec (minor injury) should be ready for the first game despite not currently feeling 100%.
In theory the players are not supposed to be practicing yet, no CBA. Good to see.

I remember when some of us were drooling over potentially having both Kaberle and Markov on the Habs at the same time. How things have changed in a few short years....Markov has gone through so many injuries and is no longer the player he was and Kaberle is a shadow of his former self. Let's hope both these guys get back on their game because they were both very good players as little as 2-3 years ago.

Plus White(he only played 20 games last year and even in those games wasn't yet up to full speed), Armstrong(in his Pit and Atl time he was a royal pain in the a$$) and Bouillon(with controlled 15-16 min ice time, he brings a grit and physical involvement).

Add guys like Cole, Eller Pacioretty, Moen, Subban, obviously Emelin and you should ahve a pretty feisty and gritty team.

Did Mike Commodore actually get an invite? Was it confirmed? (apologies if this was already cleared up).

Subban, we know the case.

Remains Markov and Emelin. Nobody has news about Emelin???
Markov was to arrive today. Emelin left Russia earlier in the week.

Neither guy is over the hill IMHO. Markov keeps himself in great shape and Kaberle from what I heard re dedicated himself this summer(last year he showed up out of shape). Both guys are 34 and play the type of game where they can play another 5-6 years if they stay healthy. At lesat half of taht can be "prime" years.

Odds are, long term we don't have room for Subban/Diaz/Markov/Kaberle not with Beaulieu on the way(full time NHL in 14-15 IMHO), Subban should be untoucheable and Diaz is young and cheap so at some point 1 of Markov and Kaberle should be traded/leave, hopefully both bounce back and we can make a trade where we gain valuable assets back and it's not a 2013 buyout(Kaberle) or 2014 UFA(Markov).

Ideally Kaberle gets back to being a 0.5-0.6 PPGM strong PP guy and solid(average defensively) 5 on 5 and we can trade him at the deadline or next summer for at least a good pick(1st to 3rd depending on may factors) or young forward/goalie.

Id say all around Leblanc is still better NOW.
Mis-used in the AHL.

He's probably trying to get a job in the Habs front office.

There's always RDS as the backup plan.

We have so many potential candidates for comeback of the year, Kaberle, Gomez, Bourque, Markov, and Gionta. Wouldn't it be great if they all had great years.

Then Cole, Pacioretty, Desharnais, Price, Subban and Emelin will all struggle...it's always the way

Reminds me of a few years ago. When the Koivu line was scoring the Kovalev line was ice cold, and vice versa. All the time.

Markov left or is leaving Russia today, I guess he won't arrive back in Montreal until tomorrow (or that's when he's checking in with the team or whatever)

So everyone but Markov, Emelin, Subban and Plekanec skated today.

I wont caption it, but it's funny to see Desharnais all jokes with a guy, who if he was the player he once was, would make Desharnais' role on the team miserable.

Why should anybody hate Gomez? You acn hate his contract and it's impact on the team, but the man himself, as far as I know has never crapped on the team or fans. He was a frustrated player that couldn't find his game last year, not a guy that just mailed it in and didn't care.

no he doesnt. He played poorly got himself into one of the worst slumps I have ever seen.

The fact that he made all that money is not his fault. The Rangers offered it to him when he was a UFA. Of course he accepted, who wouldn't?

Then the Habs traded for him knowing what his contract looked like.

Disappointed is a good word. Hating him is wrong IMO.

Gomez deserves an extension because he never called himself a little girl.
