Factoring in the contract it's not pretty, but those are two prospects who have proved nothing at the NHL level. Remember that.

If he pots 20 in a 48 game season - he'll ask for the moon and probably get it ... from someone. Being a big #25 fan, I would love to see it.

I won't be surprised if BB ends up commish one day.... and maybe sooner rather than later. He has the credentials, Bettman is coming up on 20 years in that post and is likely to retire long before the CBA comes around again.

The ratification is taking way too long. The NHL BOG should have ratified this crap on Monday via a conference call or skype. Then the players could have done their vote on Tuesday.

Gardiner is legit, but Kadri is a bum.

I wouldn't give up Gardiner if he was on the Hawks, but the Leafs do have Morgan Reilly on the way, along with Phaneuf, Gunarrsson, Liles, and a couple other good D prospects. They are deep on defense in their system.

2 days wasn't going to make a difference. If they could've been ready to play 4 days earlier, so starting on the 15th, and get 50 games in then it would. I'd rather they start Saturday with a marathon of games.

Style is too confrontational IMO to be commish

Especially when it comes to media aspect

Not according to Holmgren, who laughed at it when asked.

I think this tweet accurately sums up the Burke firing....

Cam Barker considering accepting a PTO from the Canucks.

Would be pretty funny seeing him play for the Wounded Whale.

pretty sure Flyers are interested in Luongo. Bryz played bad for them. Think he could be bought out and they go with Luongo.

Buyout Bryz, get Luongo, give Nucks a guy like Simmonds/Voracek/Hartnell and save some Cap Space in the end that they will need for Giroux

Bob McKenzie ‏@TSNBobMcKenzie
ANA is taking Kitchener Ranger goalie John Gibson, fresh off gold medal win at WJC, to Ducks training camp.

interesting. obviously, he wouldn't play in anaheim this year...but does anyone know if they could send him to the AHL? he wasn't drafted out of the OHL, he was drafted out of the ntdp...but i'm not sure if they have to return him to kitchener.
