Is Zajac healthy? I got him in a fantasy league last night really late and don't know why he was ranked so low.
He was injured (achilles tendon) for a majority of the season, which is why he was ranked so low. He came back for a handful of games at the end of the season and played throughout the playoffs. One of the best players that playoffs IMO. Could be a potential steal since he's not ranked all that high.

Perfectly.
He was out most of last season with an injury, but rebounded well as soon as he came back.
Probably a lot of people think his production will go down with the loss of Parise - but he clicks well on a line with Kovalchuk, so I don't find that to be a worry.
If not us, I think he'd be a great fit for Nashville. Just like he thrived on early Devils teams, he can do what he needs to do in the offensive zone and let reliable defensive structure from Nashville pick up the slack.
We should trade for Getzlaf or Perry. No real reason. I'm just saying that because I want to pretend life is like a video game and we can get one for next to nothing and assemble our own all-star team in 20 minutes.
pretty sure that was shot down, no? by george mcphee?
I saw the McPhee thing, but we don't know if somebody spoke to Oates and Oates personally showed interest and then McPhee was spoken to and said he personally didn't have interest

Devils are not out of picture with Sykora.
So basically, probably yes. Probably no.
So status quo. Ugh Chere is such a tool. It really makes no sense for the Devils to just ignore Sykora as an option since they have so many forward spots to refill from last year (not counting Adam being missing for two weeks) and they all can't be filled with kids from Albany. Like to see Lou go out and get someone to take Zach's spot, and not much of a problem with a kid filling Poni's, but no reason Sykora can't fill his own damn spot with Elias again, especially with Adam missing. Seems low risk to me.
If Lou's holding a spot, it better not be for Tedenby. He's already had close to 100 NHL games and did very little, other than a few flashes under Lemaire.
I don't think the Devils have a forward close to cracking the roster other than Butler, who pretty much has a spot anyway.
I think its too early to worry about the Devils roster activity (or lack thereof). Lets not forget teams technically can't talk to any players, can't make any moves, etc. The Devils aren't exactly a team that is linked to players for a long time, and then do exactly what was rumored for a long time. Most of their moves are kept well under wraps and then just appear. Forget the fact they can't technically work on these moves yet, you're definitely not going to hear anything of substance about what they're doing for at least a few days. And even then, it will probably come out of nowhere.
