Sykora back to NHL
Petr Sykora is close to sign a contract with NHL team. Source did not mention the club. I guess Anaheim could be interested in Syks.

It is czech newspaper. They mentioned, that Syks is going to sign a contract with nhl team. But did not write with whom.

Most likely. NYR would not say no if price is reasonable (1,5ish prorated on a 1 year deal) but that will not be enough...

According to that article, Syks will not sign with Devils, despite Lamoriellos intererest.

would only imagine him signing with a contender. kind of tough with the shortened season however NYR does make some sense. then again i could see the pens or even a carolina being in there. they all have space and would benefit from the experience he would bring.

Sykora and Erat have, IIRC, had some very good chemisty in international play. I hope Poile would be intersted. No rumors that I've heard, just would like to see it.

Previous interviews seems to suggest the opposite: Sykora would like to play in NJ but Lou's interest is lukewarm at best.
Not sure why, we're desperately thin on forward, but Lou's responses pretty much amount to ''We'll see what happens''.

Sykora definitely wants to come back to the Devils, it's been Lou waiting it out.
He had a pretty good year last year playing with Elias, don't think he'd want to give up that chemistry.. not to mention Elias and Zidlicky are his best friends.
Would take him back for sure. I'm thinking either Lou has something else up his sleeve or was just waiting for new terms of CBA.

He is soon to retire. two more years max. used to be an amazing player. put some some decent numbers for jersey last year
