Markov is awesome!

Great way to answer these stupid ''you know I can't really answer that'' questions. I'm so glad he's back.

The RDS reporter asked him a question about his knee... Of course Markov answered " Next question.." as usual.

Last season he responded "How's the knee?" type questions with something like "it's still there".

Markov's acid reply reminds me of an anecdote in a totally different setting and dating to the 1930s.

The famous violinist Fritz Kreisler and the famous pianist-composer Sergei Rachmaninov played a joint recital in Carnegie Hall. At one point Kreisler had a memory lapse and lost his place in the score. He whispered to his partner, "Where are we?" to which Rachmaninov replied, "In Carnegie Hall."

Please forgive me if I've distracted you from your hockey mindset.

Saw a few clips of Gomez on RDS today. Probably is a really foolish thing to say; but I loved the determination in his eyes. He seemed to really have something in his facial expression when skating that was distinguishable

His determination was never the issue - he just can't translate or transform his game into anything useful. He instinctively avoids contact and pressure zones and it snowballed into his abysmal performance with the Habs.

His determination to give the right answers in interviews was never an issue.

The fact that he has little determination in games is the issue. On the flip side of things, when he is determined he flies into the corner and gets the puck.

Buying out Gomez will be impossible if he's on LITR during the buyout window. An important consideration for those penciling him in.

That's the thing, he never used to play like that. I used to hate Gomez more than any opposing player because he was such a **** disturber. Always stirring things up around the net. I remember Gainey tried showing Gomez some tapes of when he was successful and going to the dirty areas, in an effort to wake him up. Hopefully he's going to bring that kind of game this year because Therrien won't accept anything less.

For the past two years I've heard how Gomez is more determined than ever, and that the old Gomez is back. Forgive me for being skeptical at this point, he just doesn't seem to have any fire left when he plays the game. Maybe he just can't physically do it anymore; I don't think it's intentional laziness from him or even Cammalleri style sulking.

Last year he something along the lines of "I am going to change my game" and absolutely nothing changed. I think the time is up for this one trick pony, he has had more than enough chances to prove he belongs in the NHL.

On RDS there is a debate about who will be the sixth dman between Diaz, Weber or Kaberle. They place Bouillon as the 3rd dman.... in front of Subban
