I can't get #1 off the top of my head. I've got no idea who that is. All of my ideas don't fit. I'd have to dive into hockeydb.

I would only sign Sykkie as a part timer (if at all). He just doesn't have the legs to play every game anymore.

What are everyone's expectations for Josefson this shortened season.

Former first round pick, his development on offense has been quite slow.

Overall I'm hoping he can be at least a 40 point reliable 3rd line center over a full season. Does he have anymore upside than that.

Or prehaps will he be traded out like Bergfors was. Tedenby seems to be heading down the same path as Bergfors so we haven't had much luck with swedish players recently. I'm hoping this is the season it bucks the trend for Josefson (and of course Larsson).

Who Am I? #2 (Former Devils Player).
1. I played one game for New Jersey
2. I played for two NHL teams.
3. I currently play in England.
4. I have as many goals in a Devils sweater as Rob Skrlac.

I honestly could see him turning into a 50-55 point guy with the right linemate, on our 3rd line maybe 35 at the most

Josefson has the offensive potential and the poise to be a 50-60 point two-way scorer. If all else fails, he is a reliable speedy third line centerman who can pot a few goals here and there. The problem with guys like Tedenby and Bergfors is they are useless on the third line, which is why Lou traded Bergfors. He wasn't producing in the top six, a contending team isn't going to have a Bergfors, etc. in its' bottom six.

I'd say at max 50-60 point second line centerman, and at the very least, a Sami Pahlsson type third line centerman who puts up 25-35 point a season.

Now that I just saw it, Lukowich has a really weird NHL career.

Some of the highlights:

He was traded from NYI before playing a game for them. He was traded by the Stars to the Wild and then traded back to the Stars two weeks later in the offseason. He played 8 playoff games but for some reason didn't qualify to have his name on the 99' Cup. He didn't play for the Islanders (team that drafted him) until later in his career. Played for the Lightning and Stars twice.

As I was doing it I was like what the hell...?

Who Am I?

1. I've played for three NHL teams.
2. I've won both a Memorial Cup and a Stanley Cup.
3. I was a first round draft pick
4. I am currently in a coaching capacity with the junior team I played with.
5. My last NHL team bought out my deal, ending my NHL career.
6. I tied my career high in points in my final season in New Jersey.

Ah that's it. I knew it was Lukowich but couldn't think of the guy's name

I kept thinking Malakhov but I knew that wasn't right.

You don't have to tell me again.

I'm thinking more like 3 more days, because then we get the influx of Devils news from training camp.

Well probably a day and a half till we 'finally' get the schedule since ratification ends Saturday morning, and then everything'll start rapid-fire.

I'm sure Marty will look a little rusty, and he might be fighting it early as he's had no preseason action or anything. He's not the most of my concerns though.

Even when he was playing inconsistent early last year, his goaltending only cost us 2 games from what I remember, and then another later in the season. Despite that BS stat in the ''Devils need to sit Brodeur'' thread that he cost us 6 games before January 1st.

That Toronto game, his first game back from injury. The Calgary game when Moose came in, and sucked as bad. Then the Toronto game late in the season where he was a statue in the shootout. Those are the only games Marty's goaltending may have cost us last year.

Lamoriello said they'll decide at some point tomorrow on whether to invite any of team's junior prospects to training camp.

Can't think of any ATM that are ready to make the jump.

Lamoriello said all of team's junior prospects will play in their games Friday night. Then, any invited to camp will leave after that.

All Devils AHL players will stay with Albany for at least Friday's games. Lamoriello said it's possible they'd stay for games Fri, Sat, Sun.

You don't necessarily need to be ready for the jump to come to camp. It's a good way to see how far away certain players are. I'd expect Matteau (still feels weird to say), Boucher, Pietella to all be there along with some others.
