Forum Game: Who would you rather have?
There's no football here in Germany at the moment and any talk about my favourite team is depressing, so i'm bored and in search for some light-hearted discussion. What place would be better for that than HFboards?
Title says it... name two players, and the following poster gets to choose which one they would rather take on their team for the next say 5 years. Ideally with some sort of explanation! Then you post two players to choose from and so on
To start: Who would you rather have on your team for the next 5 years:
Mario Balotelli or Marko Reus?

Reus.
Talent wise I'd rather have Balotelli, I just wouldn't want to deal with the off pitch headaches.
Kyle Walker or Kieran Gibbs?

Gibbs, but that might just be because Kyle Walker pisses me off.
David Silva or Juan Mata

Juan Mata, younger and has already impressed me more than Silva. Both are incredible though
Kaka or Lampard

Hazard. Haven't seen much of Gotze but Hazard is a great team player and has a great ability to track runs and play great balls.
Falcao or Ibrahimovic.

I'd take Falcao. Seems easier to handle, I think he's more valuable now and looking at 5 years from now it won't be close.
Theo walcott or daniel sturridge?

Walcott, seems to know what to do with the ball when he gets it. Sturridge has no passing sense whatsoever.

I'd take Muller. I prefer his brand of good movement and clinical finishing, plus he's incredibly versatile and good at so many different things.
Based on the five year thing in the OP, Raheem Sterling or Walcott?

Still Walcott, it'll be at least 2 to 3 before Sterling is at Walcott's level.
Gundogan or Cabaye

Gundogan. I'm a Dortmund fan so I know what all he brings to the table!

Oh that is close. I would probably take Kaka overall. Not because he has regressed much more than Torres, but because I think he can perform consistently on a regular bases than him.
El Shaarawy or Neymar?

Neymar and it's not even close. Kid sweats talent.

Pique
They're pretty even as players, but having Pique around for the next 5 years means having Shakira around for the next five years, and that's not shabby.
Paul Scholes or Javier Zanetti?
