Arnott? Thought Canucks were done with him/going to Dallas.

I saw these tweets the other day that made me think he didn't actually have anything actually official with dallas

Dan Murphy ‏@sportsnetmurph
RT @imacVanSun: RT @BradZiemer: Jason Arnott no longer on #Canucks radar & other notes. http://www.vancouversun.com/sports/h...305/story.html

I think hes just skating with Dallas but still has his options open, nothing official yet

Wouldn't mind seeing Vandermeer getting a camp invite.

Its a shame these guys dont get any pre season games so theres no real shot for them to impress and make the team.

I mean, how good of a practice can you really have. heh

Good player, but for fantasy he's a waste.

I hope I'm wrong, but I doubt it.
Would not be surprised if he racks up some secondary assists though.

Sports Illustrated power rankings have the Oilers at 3rd overall.

If the Oilers get hot right out the gate, Hall stays healthy, Shultz is the real deal, Yakupov lights it up, Hopkins without a doubt continues to be amazing, Whitney becomes Lidstrom, Dubnyk has a miracle season, Hemsky's heart grows three sizes, Horchoff plays with pride, Hordichuk actually wins fights, Sam Gagner gets 9 points this time and Edmonton is down by a goal with 11 seconds left and they put Eberle out there....................THEN..................NO STILL CAN'T SEE IT

This is obviously a joke. Kind of lame, like some of mine, but I appreciate the attempt a good-natured humour.

Otherwise, the words "Barker" and "maybe takes Tanev's job" belong in entirely different universes, for anyone who knows hockey . . . a game in which the basic responsibility of a defenseman is to keep the other team from scoring.

Better than Alberts only because he'll be at a cheaper cap hit.

I was at Dallas' practice today and didn't see Arnott there. Saw Aaron Rome in all his beefy glory though.

Edit: Mark Fistric is a monster of a human.

He really is, I saw him when he was 16/17 and he was a monster back then too.

^Between Booth and Raymond.

Why do we have to look so crappy when one player is out?

cuz our lineup is filled with tweeners that depend on the success of the bonafide top 6ers on the team

I legitimately feel Booth will be surprising some people this year. He's settled and healthy, and he's got some decent tools to work with. I think he's going to have a bounce back (half) season.

I would like to say the same for Raymond, but I'm a bit more cautious on him. Could easily seem him get leap-frogged by Hansen on the depth chart.

Agree on both. Booth was awesome at times last year, if he finds a little more consistency we have a gem on our hands.

That lines needs less Raymond and more Kassian. Although i have a hard time seeing AV trusting a Schroeder-Kassian pairing.
