Things I did not miss during the lockout: Dave Stubbs being Gomez's PR director.

Agreed 100%. Bouillon is way better then what people are thinking... he's a very good 3rd pairing defenceman IMO.

Agree that Gorges is mostly a top 4 defenceman but i think Gorges is top 20 in the NHL defensively. I would prefer him on my second pairing but we have nobody on this team that can do his job....

I was hoping he received a little bit of RD ice time during his tenure in Nashville. Well... if he can't play RD and considering Emelin looks better as a LD... who should play RD: Bouillon or Emelin?

Markov and Kaberle must play as LD.

You can make a case for Staal and Hamhuis but Hedman has a long way to go defensively before he`s on Gorges`level.

To be fair Stubbs does that with every player. It gives him easy accesss to them though so putting up with his fluff pieces has its advantages since he's usually the first one to get a quote from the players.

His Gomez interview is pretty useless though.

LOL, RDS.CA posted a summary of how each player from the habs did or didn't play during the lockout and Mathieu Darche is listed.

Kinda strange.

According to the clown Gaston Therrien the line at start should look like this:

Patches-DD-Cole
Bourque-Plekanec-Eller
Prust-Gomez-Gionta
Moen-White-Armstrong

What do you think?

Is this his best guess? Or is it how they are lining up in their unofficial practice?

First line is what everybody expected.

That second line is shaky with Bourque being an interogation point and Eller being historically better at Center. I'd have Bourque - Plekanec - Gionta as the second. At least then you have two out of a three who are rather safe bets.

Third line is weird. I guess it's a best of the rest kind of situation if you go with that Top 6, but Prust should be on the 4th, Gomez in the press box and Gionta on the second. I'd have Moen - Eller - Armstrong as the third.

Fourth line, in this scenario is okay. What we would expect with the Top 9 he uses.
I would use Prust - White - Blunden.

Put Gomez on the the 4th line wing fit Gally on the top 3 lines, Eller at center too.

Good news is, with the threat of amnesty buyouts and a coach like Therrien hopefully lighting a fire under his ass, Bourque might not have a choice but to outdo himself. I don't think coasting through these 48 games is an option for him right now .
