Oh please. Have you seen the NYR-Blues thread on the main board? all people talk about is how boring of a series it would be, and the Devils fans whine about the 6 goalie system to no end on that thread.

Why would the NHL not schedule 5 games between the Flyers and the Pens? IMO, one of the best rivalries in the entire NHL.
Although pens-isles games are highly entertaining.
Oh well. Hope they boys are up to the task. 5 games against their offense is tough. Although we never make MAF look like a sieve, the way the Flyers do.
The NHL sent schedules to each organization earlier today. They're being reviewed and teams are going to let the league know of any dates that need to be rescheduled due to existing conflict with other events. Schedules will be made public once those changes are made and the CBA is ratified by the NHLPA (sometime tomorrow).
That being said, did I just read correctly that they're going back to 2H/2A against divisional opponents? That's a last minute flip-flop. I feel bad for the logistics folks who had to sit on their hands for the past 3 months and now are being asked to do an entire summers worth of work in like 48 hours, twice.

Pens-Flyers is just awesome though. Kind of fun to see games where no one on either side knows what defense is. Plus, those two teams hate each other so much.
Not to mention that NBC LOVES that matchup. And Flyers-Rangers. Flyers vs Devils or Piles is a harder sell.

I don't know whether to laugh or be offended by all the hate we get by other fans for such a 'boring' game we play...on the Bruins board their moaning about how boring opening night will be vs the 'New York Shot Blockers'

so then why not have the Pens and Flyers just play every saturday and sunday on NBC? Make them the 4-5 match-up in the play-offs, too.
