Speaking of Kabanov, what the hell happened to him between when he was drafted and now? (currently with the Bridgeport Sound Tigers)

So I interviewed both Kuznetsov and Nichushkin in Russian. It was bat**** crazy, I`ve never actually spoken that language before, but I made it. Nichushkin was so scared he let me wait 45 minutes and then almost refused to give an interview... in Russian.

Those kids fear the mic almost as badly as vampire fears the cross.

Also, AK47 was standing next to me, but I didn`t really have anything to ask, so I simply let him walk away.

I don't want to get anybody in trouble but he's just utterly full of himself. Paraphrasing: "I can get into bars underage because I'm Kabanov" "I have thousands of dollars because I'm so good" etc.

Other more well recorded stuff happened during games. Like jumping the boards when he was benched and picking up a penalty in the process.

Just an absolute ********

Is he still up to those antics as an Isles prospect? Last I heard they were reasonably pleased with his progress, considering everyone expected him to bust.

He held out Blainville until they traded him to the memorial cup host after Blainville drafted him from Lewisville's dispersal, showed up to NYI camp late on multiple occasions, and was wondering why there's nothing to do in Long Island. I can' be bothered with him. He's not even that good.

He hasn't played much in Bridgeport this year. I googled him a couple times after not seeing him play and he was injured in October. Isles probably aren't too upset, they have Niedereiter and Nelson and Cizikas and Strome still.

And Niederreiter gets some courage, and Cizikas gets some heart, right?

You almost have to try to be as craptastic as Niederreiter was last season. 55gp, 1pt, -30. That's bowling shoe ugly. A complete hole of suck...

I believe his shooting percentage was less than 1%. He was also playing with a line that would've had trouble in the AHL when he didn't catch fire in the first couple weeks.

Things to take home from last night's casual hockey fan scouting report:

MacKinnon is godly except occasionally does stupid **** like passes the puck to nobody a la Kovalchuk. Reaffirms my opinion he's a Canadian Kovalchuk clone.

Drouin reminds me of Tedenby pre-hate era. Sick hands, but doesn't get pushed around easily. Uses the free arm well to knock forecheckers off of him.

Fucale is awesome. Hate butterfly style though. Looks like he's down early every time the pucks near the net, but there's not a lot of net available up high so w/e. Will be a certain first rounder if he keeps playing like last night. His D kinda suck, but they played better than I've seen in the past (traded 2 away).

So NHL announces the draft will be on Sunday, June 30th - all 7 rounds done in one day......that's gonna be a loooooong day! gotta figure 7-8 hours.

If it starts at 1pm, first round done at 4 and then rest of the draft will rn until 8pm.

Oh great, it's gonna be even harder to get tickets now. I'm guessing more a noon to three timeline for the first round though.

Do you guys really think this event will sell out? I figure one side of the arena will be reserved for the players and their families. One end zone for the NHL podium and the rest of the arena for the fans.

Do these events typically sell out with wall to wall fans or are there sporadic seats available?

I feel like although I trust Wedge in net, that depending on pick Fucale will still be there in the second round. I just feel like he's gonna slip for some reason.

I think the first round sells out and usually you can find seats for 2-7 but this year, with both crammed into one day that really doesn't matter, it's going to sell out anyway.
