Sharks need wingers

The Sharks definatly need wingers. They would probably trade one of their D most available Murray and Boyle least Burns and Vlasic. What would it take?

Doubt the org thinks Boyle is available, much more likely one of Murray, Demers, or Braun.

When we all thought the cap was going down to $60 million, Boyle would have been available. However, with it fixed at $64.3 million we can absolutely afford to keep him and Clowe when Handzus' and Murray's contracts are done. We're not sure if Demers or Braun can consistently run the 2nd PP unit, so Boyle is still needed here.

We've stated before that we'd love to get Seto back. Probably offer Braun or Murray+ cond pick. But you won't get any other defenseman on the team for Seto.

I agree he isn't all that available but I feel Demers could become as good or better than him

No way Demers moves. Kid's got too much upside compared to his trade value.

I agree, but I think the org would consider moving him for the right piece, young top 6 tweener type with equal upside.

Let's put it this way, the Sharks don't just need any wingers, they need Top-6 proven, or high likelihood, wingers. The assets the Sharks are most likely to move are:

Douglas Murray
Ryane Clowe
John McCarthy
Matt Irwin
Nick Petrecki

I think Clowe and Petrecki are most unlikely of those 4. I think Murray is almost certain to move. And I think Irwin might if they think they might have trouble re-signing him next year when he is an RFA. And out of the defensive prospects, Irwin is the most NHL ready, likely has among the highest trade values, and is the most replaceable within the org.

Hagelin for Demers seems very fair from a neutral perspective

Something based on lupul + MacArthur for Pavelski + make sense in my opinion... Leafs could also include Connolly/Lombardi possibly at half price depending on the +

No thanks. From my perspective Demers isn't moved unless we are just massively fleecing another team. He fits too many organizational needs.

I wouldn't trade Pavelski for Lupul and McArthur alone, let alone adding a plus.

I'd probably do it, don't know how this affects the salary cap though.
