how do you guys make your pucks, still buy and sell?
thats what I do. check the market, try and find some steals or decent deals. then just play if nothings looking good or need to wait 20-30 min for an auction to end
Buy and sell when possible, and try to dominate tournaments. You can make about 700 per game playing in the rookie offline tournament. Every chance you get, shoot it low on the net. Every shot on goal gets you a puck(up until 50). Hits, faceoffs, and passing percentage are also important. If you get a PP, scoring on that can get you an extra 100 pucks. When I get a PP goal, I usually end up with about 770-790 pucks per game. When I don't get a chance on the PP, or I don't score, I get about 680. If you continually play the tournaments, every 4th game you get a bonus puck, for the rookie it's 550. So basically in four games you can get about 3350 pucks, which averages out to about 840 per game. That adds up pretty fast if you have a couple hours to kill.

It's much easier to find "steals" on the cheaper players so start off with that. Than when trying to resell them check the market and look for the same card and price it 50-150 pucks below (eg; see a Jeff Skinner up for 1 hour and 3 minutes and 5K BIN 4.5K sp and put yours up for 1 hour at 4850 BIN and 4.3K sp). Also try your best to be conservative and patient with the market. When bidding on a card determine how high you think you can bid, and still be able to make your pucks back (keep in mind the 5% tax) and don't bid over that.
Once you start getting in to the "higher end" players the best way to make profit is via trade. Get some players like Backes, Bryzgalov that aren't worth a lot but have pretty high overalls and offer them in packages to other players. Often people will determine a players value by their overall and not their ah value and you can use this to your advantage.
Lastly, try to save your pucks for when a promo deal comes out. When promo packs come out the market gets flooded with 80-87 overall players and prices drop significantly. Than sell the players later in the week or when ever the market recovers to make profits.
Friend got STOW Zetterberg too, both sold 300k, could have got more I guess. Wasnt a Detroit card ethier.

I havn't spoke up about this yet but I should have atleast $20.00 on my PS3 for spending over $100 in December. Right? Last time I spent over $100 I got $20 dollars. Is it every $100 you spend you get $20 back? Becuase I should have atleast $40 then, lol..

I believe most are right. Some I even undervalued. Some are what I payed for them and some I've seen alot with that price. Name some that you think are overpriced. Do you think there is a value difference between players on PS3 and XBOX?
hasek usually goes for ~90k on xbox. never seen one go for more than 100k.
even edmonton gretzky doesn't sell for 200k on x box. toews goes for 90-100, SOTW benn can usually be found around 100 or less, nash for about 35k and i saw a SOTW orpik going for like 7,900 the other day.
some guys are right on though. i would try to sell my phaneuf for 35-40k. i managed to find a m richards for about 10k too.

I'm cleaning out my team a little bit. I have Backstrom(Washington) up for 8k, Dustin Brown up for 6K BID, BIN of 9K, Bobby Ryan for 16,500 and Shea Weber for 27,500. All have less than an hour left. I would accept trades if anyone is interested, but I'm really looking for pucks. I'd love to get one of those promo packs.
Got Andrew Ladd, Erik Johnson, Mathieu Garon, Henrique and O'Reilly as my highest rated players.
Already have Ladd.....so basically 20 bucks for Erik Johnson.
Bought Erik Cole for 1.7k pucks, and Bryzgalov for 6.9k. That's not bad I guess (especially when there were a couple other Coles who were going for 8k.)
