Instead of scared , I should have worded it what team would they rather play. If you're Hali, Quebec, BLB or BC , would you rather face Moncton or Bathurst in a playoff round.
Danault is a world class player and one of the best in the league. He's a huge addition and will have an immediate impact on the team. Other than helping out offensively , he'll help the tea, defensively since he's arguably the best two-way forward in the league. As I mentioned above I don't feel good about going into the playoffs with an inconsistent goalie like Dubeau but he does have 26 game left to work on that. He is not a bad goaltender and shows spectacular flashes when the pressures on. at times. The biggest question into the Wildcats' playoff success does fall on his shoulders imo. At times this season he has outplayed the best of them. He's either really on or really off.
Mentioning Deruelle has to do with the fact that chsb says Moncton lacks depth up front. When a team waives a player that was on pace for 40 points before his injury a couple of weeks ago shows we have the depth. We have a 4th line of Johnston , Garland , Johnson/Batt. Would you say Moncton lacks depth ?
Do you think BLB, BC , Rouyn would rather play Moncton or Bathurst ? Moncton beat BLB 2/3 , BC 2/2 and Rouyn 2/3...
Nobody but you is mentioning Bathurst in this "depth" argument.....
I mentioned CB/BLB/RN and I stick to that....
Bathurst has as much depth as what you have if you are referring to that.
Bathurst got a 5th round pick for Lyle, a D for Salvail and a 7th round pick for Lyle....
Plus they acquired Pelletier/Walsh/Kelly and brought up Meredith.
DeRuelle was not even claimed on the waiver wire.
The Wildcats have been playing 0.450 in the last 10 games without Jaskin.
It tells me the depth is not there.....or other problems surfaced.

Ha ha ha
And blb in there last 10 were worst than almost any team and lost yesterday with everyone in the lineup including marcoux and ouellet

Only you would say moncton couldn't beat bc,blb,rn in the playoffs. Winning records against all of them before we got danualt. Why are you so jealous of moncton? Something happen to you while visiting the city? 2006 and 2010 must of been very bad years for you.
Having the argument of who's scred of who now is stupid. Every coach in the top half will have their teams ready, and I know we're not implying this, but no team will have the "scared" mentality, as regular season results will be thrown out the window.
Does Danault have enough offensive power to make me more nervous though? I know it's a big addition but I think the price was way too high for someone with his stats.. Obviously it's still good, and his other game is great, but doesn't fill the other needs they had.... Every team has holes, that can't be changed, but Moncton could use another D as Melindy hasn't been himself this year and goaltending is bigger problem too. Dubeau is too inconsistent.... Do you feel 100% with him going all the way?
How bout the supposed "clique" in the dressing room? No chemistry, 4 players who have formed their own group... Could be nothing, but it's been brought up before...
What does mentioning Deruelle do to help Moncton's depth? He had 4 goals and was clearly not good enough to be a regular Q player or he would be with you or on another team... the best team on paper doesn't always win, but those players you mention are not on the level of Halifax or BLB who have the best bottom 6 players in the league.
Price was two high?? More like a steal 2 first rounds picks and Johnson at the draft..
I first round nhl pick and your saying he's not that good? I'm sure if Halifax landed him you would be singing a different tune.
If you want to know what overpaying is look up what you have up for brad Marchand .
How'd that work out anyway?

Looking at RN and BC, they are both clearly ahead of your team at the present time....
I am not the only one looking at Moncton with skepticism at the present time trust me....
Right now your team is at the same ranking as Drummondville....should we consider them contenders?

A steal yeah, whatever... And that's not the price you paid.
Didn't say he's not that good, read again.
We traded picks for Brad Marchand... Those picks in itself didn't actually turn out to anything really... Gabe Desjardins and Jamie Bishop actually played their careers with the Moose and were used with the picks traded which we got back... and Scott Oke was the other one... The trade had a bit to do with the down years, but that was inevitable... None of this is getting through to you though so I'll stop there...
You're a tremendous spin doctor, and please keep living in the year 2006 lol.

Jamie Bishop had a career with the moose?? Apparently you don't follow the team as much as we all thought

Sorry 2006 just reminds me alot of this year. Moose this moose that then they choke out in the playoffs.
Who won the league that year?
Everybody noticed that Moncton have been slumping....
I hope for you things turn around but it brought skepticism in a lot of fans even on your Maritimes who wanted to sell instead of buying.
Don't worry , the slumping is over now that Jaskin is back. 2 goals , 2 assists last night as the Wildcats beat Gatineau 5-3. The Jaskin/Barb/Danault line was amazing. Barbashev had 1 goal 2 assists and Danault added an assist.

although if the season was to end today, moncton would be playing PEI in the first round. I'm sure thats not the match up they want in the first round!!!

oh, i agree.... Although you have to admit, it would be an awful fun series to watch
It's not the same as the regular season. I'm not saying I'd want to face them but I think the better team (Moncton) would win when playing them back to back to back in a series.
