yeah, but that was at the beginning of a regularly played season. i know that the chl and nhl had to come up with a special agreement letting the nhl bring players to camp in what is the middle of the chl season. that's why i was wondering whether there were also special rules about re-assignment.

from the main board...this is a promo the lightning are running to woo fans.

that's about the cost of a single ticket to a leafs game (not including food/beverages).

Yeah, a lot of teams are doing promos like free food and stuff. Don't expect that to happen here though.

The Tampa one is amazing though, basically anyone could afford that.

I hope they give away free streaming on NHL.com of all the games. They need to do something for the fans as a whole.

That's $8.33 per ticket for 24 home games.

Worth it.

yeah, they won't do anything in toronto - except maybe schedule an extra bobble head doll night.

i don't expect the nhl to do much either. they seem pretty tone deaf to fan outreach.

It is going to be interesting to see if Hawk tickets are easier to get than normal this year. Maybe they will...maybe not. Hard to tell. I'll need to get tickets for a few weekend games whenever they sort the ticket/schedule situation out.

I miss when I could get my favorite seats for $27 face value, but I also don't miss the losing.

I've often joked that I hope to one day get a job and move to a low-intensity sports town like the Tampa Bay region. I'll be a Cubs and Hawks fan until the day I die, but I'll gladly buy dirt cheap tickets in droves to the Rays (until they move to Charlotte) and Bolts any day of the week.

Lightning actually had pretty good attendance last season despite their location, at 96.2% capacity on average. Although that was following a couple of down years.

I think they're going to be just as much in demand as before, in my opinion. Once the NHL announced they were going to be playing again I was hearing people everywhere, be it the internet or out and about, talking about the Hawks and being excited hockey's back.

according to this it's 10,000

http://articles.chicagotribune.com/2...an-rocky-wirtz

how long is the wait? 100 years?

the leafs have a waiting list of about 4000 - but the turnover is so low the predicted wait time is 20 years.

Thanks for that. For some reason I thought it was higher. Still a lot, though.

If we still had Kris Versteeg, we would have a man who looked like a 70s porn star on our team.

That's a great shot of Steeger, what a great player he was for us and an even better character. I fear we will never have a team as good and as charismatic as those ones from 2008-2010.

Few years back when the Hawks were in Phoenix two of my uncles were out at a bar some of the players were at and they talked to Versteeg and Barker for an extended length of time. Uncle said they were two of the nicest guys ever. Versteeg actually initiated the conversation with them because he saw they had some Hawks apparel on. They said he was a bit goofy but a really nice guy.

Feels like July 1st Free Agency right now in a way, obviously not near the amount of talent, but just the anticipation.

If only the NHLPA would hurry up and agree to MOU ,, NHL wanted this settled already
