Steve Montador was just cleared to return

Today he suffered a concussion while practicing with teammates

3rd concussion as a Hawk (Only played part of 1 yr with Hawks so far)

I knew the 4 yr deal could haunt the Hawks but didn't expect him to suffer 3 concussions in such a short time

That sucks.

And Kurtis Foster got a two year contract? Seriously?

Really? Man I have forgotten 90% of offseason moves now. Gonna be fun when the games start, saying "Oh, he plays for them now?"

Yeah it was one of those quiet moves that didn't get alot of attention

From what I saw of Roszival with Yotes he was solid #4 dman. Good guy to maybe pair with Leddy on bottom pairing

Leddy is wonderful talent but he has a long way to go with regards to his defensive game

Possible (Not likely IMO) that Leddy starts year in AHL since he has struggled in AHL during lockout

Not sure if posted already.

Dave Stubbs ‏@Dave_Stubbs
#Habs, and 29 other teams, can make transactions beginning at roughly a quarter past midnight ET

Let the games begin

Edit- Well... they already have, now that I think about it, with all the announcements of intended signings

Not too shabby for the first ad back, I guess...

Still doesn't stop you from being a 4th rate league from all the prior lunacy, but one step at a time fellas...

I've actually started to like the goodyear blimp during the lockout. He was one of the more classy players during the lockout, as was Lundqvist.

A degree from an Ivy League university doesn't help much when you're in the club. Trust me, I know.

That's incredible. There is no universe where Foster should be getting two years, but he is.

**** man we have a plethora of better defensemen than Foster. If they really are in demand then I can definitely see trading one. Rather than wasting our time rolling with 8 D, and only 13 forwards when our weakness is scoring as it stands right now.

Should be good if Lou wants to move a D-man

The way I see it, the only way Lou doesn't make a move is if he has faith in who we have in the system. My gut feeling says we won't see any moves made until training camp is either half over or completely over. Though with the question marks regarding Butler and Tedenby, if we are going to make a trade to bring in a forward, we're in a good position to do so.

I just can't see him rolling with 8 defensemen with 7 being NHL caliber, and only carrying 13 forwards. Especially if the team needs more scoring. Even if it just opens up a roster spot I could see Tallinder being dealt for picks. I really believe a defenseman will be dealt, but it may not be right away. Maybe they wanna wait 2 weeks, and see what's out there. Someone could end up on LTIR out of those 8 guys that could put them out the entire season, and we might do nothing.

Lou hinted at a trade last Summer, and TG just brought that up tonight on twitter.

I'm told the #Flyers have reacquired goalie Brian Boucher from Carolina for Luke Pither. More on this in a bit. #NHL

David Pagnotta ‏@TheFourthPeriod
Told the Canadiens have unofficially released Scott Gomez, sending him home.

David Pagnotta ‏@TheFourthPeriod
Montreal will buy out Scott Gomez's contract this summer. He will not play for the team this season.
