Del Zotto and Gilroy in camp on new contracts? Feels like the beginning of the 2009-10 season.

Ryan O'Reilly,PK Subban and Jamie Benn aren't in camp today. DZ is smart. The Rangers can win the Cup. Shortened season. No time for holdouts. If the Rangers win the Cup,all of them will get paid.

I think that's a fair deal. Great for the rangers. Leaves room for a rental or two at the deadline. Those idiots on the main board claiming he'd get $4 million. Idiots.

del zotto deserves alot of credit here...he got a fair deal, but his $3 mil asking price (if true) was extremely fair and realistic based on other comparable players. but he decided that being in camp from day 1 was more important than a few 100k. torts would call that doing it the right way

Bickel/Eminger/Gilroy is our #6. People need to get over the Sauer injury already. Considering how strong the Rangers are in other areas of the roster, a revolving door of those three guys will not and should not be a hindrance to postseason success.

Great contract. Got what I thought he would with how Slats plays hardball after a rookie deal.

Thank you Del Zotto for not thinking you're the **** like a former Ranger. Glad you realize it'd be stupid to miss time now.

Good deal for both sides. Gives DZ a chance to earn that bigger contract if he can keep up the production he had last year. Felt like a 2 year deal was what he was going to get considering how Sather handled Dubinsky, Callahan, Girardi and Anisimov when they needed new deals. All 5 had about 2 years of NHL experience before they needed new contracts.

Del Zotto pleased to sign at 11th hour for camp, says he wasn't really nervous; players like Callahan who'd been through it counseled him
He said "You remember Brandon from Alaska? Hes in Ohio now..."
