If we could get Tallinder for Filppula straight up thats straight up larceny by Lou even if he's a UFA, we'd need to add something

We'd have to add but I like your thinking here.

I really am intrigued by Sam Gagner but I assume EDM will be looking for a Fayne.

Darche might be a ****** when it comes to labor talks, but I like taking a chance on him for the 3rd - 4th line, especially if he plays the way he did in 10-11.

I'd rather bring back Dean McAmmond.

Yeah, I didn't necessarily mean straight up. Very rare do you see one for one deals. But Filppula is UFA which hurts is value. I'm sure we add a mid pick, but Tallinder plays a style that I think the Red Wings like out of their D-men. Just seems like an easy trade to make for both sides.

If Darche makes this team, I'm quoting South Park all season. Don't care how old it gets.
If you Jessiman when you're supposed to McIlrath you're gonna have a bad time.

Would love to have Gagner on this team. Wonder if he can play wing?
Maybe something like Tallinder and a 2nd or 3rd?

I don't want anything to do with the Oilers. Unless they're sending Eberle, Hall, RNH, or Yakpuov over, which they aren't, I'm not interested at all.

If Darche being on this team means Janssen GTFO and up to Albany, then I'm more than fine with him. If not though I don't see him offering too much though.

Rich Chere @Ledger_NJDevils
DeBoer dsays Kovalchuk is a right winger, not left
but why
Rich Chere @Ledger_NJDevils
Pete DeBoer said Patrik Elias might have been a LW if Henrique hadn't been injured. He's a center now.
Hope he's not planning on overloading the top line. There's slim pickings at the bottom.

Darche is 2 years removed from putting up 26 points in 59 games. He can definitely fill in on the 3rd/4th lines better than any goon we ever iced. That Carter-Gionta-Bernier isn't going to put up a last year's playoff like season performance so it's good we have have Darche (if he makes it) to mix in there.

Wasn't coach ''ya know'' the idiot who started this crap with Kovy on right wing so that he could play with Parise?

Still does not clear up who is first line LW
Tom Gulitti @TGfireandice
I asked if Butler playing RW with Zajac today was a possibility for the season and that's when DeBoer mentioned they still have Kovy as RW.
Elias-Zajac-Kovalchuk would be a nice line... but only if there's enough depth to fill out the bottom 9.
