LOL! Latendresse is one of the softer players in the NHL, especially for his size. The last person he fought in the NHL was Joffrey Lupul, so I don't think you need Big Mac to counter this acquisition.

It's an arms race in the East.

MacIntyre is a 25x better fighter. Scott would get destroyed with lefts.

MacIntyre is probably the slowest skater I've seen in recent memory in the NHL.

I wonder who would win in a Kessel vs. MacIntyre fight? Kessel's not afraid to drop the gloves remember:

Unless the new CBA changed the waiver period to 2 hours, he's not legit at all.

I would say he will take Fraser's place as enforcer on the Marlies. I think Fraser has impressed enough to be a 7th D and get thrown in for the tougher opponents.

Probably a pick up for the Marlies since Fraser will be up with the big boys.

Is there any confirmation to this? He'll be a good call up when we play some tough teams.

As far as I know no, but I didn't think of that and it makes sense if true

I really like Smac though. Seems like an awesome person off the ice. Best of luck to him.
He does alright.

Also I love MacIntyre, so I'm gonna leave this here.

I love Mac, was hoping he would get picked up by the Oil.

Edit: I see I was beat to the punch on the Ivanans fight. Oh well, it's good enough to be posted twice.

I understand the arms race in the east, especially how gritty our division got over the summer, but keeping Rosehill, or giving Devane or Orr a chance would have better options than Mac, IMO.

But it will be nice to have some one to lighten Brown's workload.

Old time hockey!

I'd love to see Smac stick with a team all year. Of all the players other posters listed, the one I think the Leafs should be wary of is Ott. The guy head hunts all game. Smac is the right kind of crazy to deter that.

Makes me wonder why Broll, isn't at Training camp, like he was supposed to be.

Smart move if we are going to tank. Bring up the kids and let them have at it, you won't see the usual liberties being taken against them with Orr and Mac ten feet away.

Rosehill doesn't strike any fear to any of his opponents

Broll simply isn't established

Orr is one punch away and will be very cold to ask him to fight the big boys at this stage
