Then I'm sorry, I don't think the Rags have anything they would want to give up that could entice the Habs to give up Emelin.

Sure they do. Your management is not as unreasonable as the fanbase on here. If they wanted him, I'm sure they could make a fair trade.

Has Montreal's management done a single trade since being hired?

You could send them an email about it, if you don't like the answer from the fan base.

Sauer is damaged goods, Kreider wasn't moved for Nash, he wouldn't even be considered for Emelin. The Rangers don't have a first in the upcoming draft and Montreal wont trade Emelin to add a 4th 2nd rounder to their collection.

Sorry, I just don't see a deal here.
To return to the subject at end, I must fully agree with that statement.

I love how people compare guys and whose better. When they have never played in the NHL. U don't know what you got till they get there!!! I watched Chris Phillips in the WHL thought he would win the Norris Trophy every year.....ahh no. I watched Seabrook thought he would never make the NHL.....ahh no. You got to wait and see?!

Everyone has to remember that Subban has not reported to camp. And taking that into consideration, the Habs will need every NHL caliber d-man they can get before even consider trading Emelin, unless of course, the return is another NHL caliber d-man. ( and no, McIlrath ATM, is not an NHL caliber d-man.)

What does this have to do with anything?

You saying Montreal's management is more reasonable than their fan base when they haven't done anything indicating so yet.

Well for your teams sake, I would hope that they are more reasonable than their fanbase.

So, Bergevin and co are never going to make a trade ?

The Rangers have what it takes to get him.

Such as who? If the habs give up Emelin, they need someone to fill his skates right now, not in 2 years.

You perfectly know what I meant. The definition of what's reasonable is the question.

Seriously, it's so asinine. From my own fanbase as much as from the Habs, though there's a special section of ludicrous reserved for FanHabtic and his: "WORST PICK EVAR TOTAL BUST" hyperbole.

Calm down.

I'd definitely be interested in the McIlrath angle

Then you should probably stop talking about a player that you admittedly have absolutely no clue about other than the fact that he gets hurt.

I've never seen such delusional posts in my life.

I've seen him play many games in the Dub. You may have seen him play a handful of games in the AHL. Big deal. He's still a bad puck at 10th overall and not a guy i would consider for Emelin. Move on unless you have a better offer for Emelin.

I don't see how this will happen ... Emelin doesn't worth Kreider and I'm not sure about mcilrath and nyr doesn't have a 1 round this year so I don't see how we can make a deal unless we do emelin + for Kreider but I really don't see it happen since they didn't want to trade Kreider in the Nash deal ...

And those were over 2 years ago.

Again, you have no clue about him.

You're telling me to move on? Practice what you preach, pal.

He's played a handful of games in two years. Its no wonder ranger fans are eager to dump him in a trade. Here's a hint, we are not interested in him.
