Not sure what you are referring too.

BTW-there's still a couple hundred folks in the lot looking for autographs. Quite a scene here today-no backlash with the fans it looks like.

Hes an enforcer. A deterrent. Hes like a cop standing non a street corner, he doesn't have to make an arrest to keep the street safe.

Haha come on Galatin, can't mess with people like that, especially multiple times.

Your general premise in real life is definitely true. In hockey, I don't buy it at all. He's a waste of a roster spot, cap space, an active skater, and whatever else he can manage to use

I read an article the other day where Tangradi said he was always nervous and thinking too much about things, the times he was up.

He claimed he wasn't going to do it this time, but I'm not sure if he can control that to be honest if he starts playing poorly.

I'd be shocked if Shero doesn't add another enforcer if MacIntyre is indeed headed to Toronto.

And he played all of 12 games. Yeah, he was really a deterrent.

well Shero obviously planned to keep Mac in WBS or he wouldn't have been picked up. So if so it will probably be someone else similar that can just be called up when needed. We better not lose someone like Jeffrey to waivers because we want a tough guy to watch 45 games from the press box.

Yeah, at least someone for the AHL., things can still get pretty wild down there.

That analogy doesn't really work because, in real life, the threat of being arrested is real. But in hockey, what's the worst that's going to happen? You cheapshot Crosby and then what? MacIntyre offers to fight and gets turned down? Or MacIntyre skips asking and just jumps a guy only to be pulled off seconds later? These are grown men with alpha male personalities. Nobody is scared to do what they're being paid to do.

Yup guys don't think about that. There's no immediate or even existent punishment, especially when the "enforcer" is almost never actually dressed or relevant. Completely unnecessary.

agreed. the guys doing the cheapshotting these days don't give a damn who is dressed on the other side. How many times have we seen Cooke or Ruutu skate away smiling when someone tries to fight them

Shero should trade all future second rounders.

some real bad history at that spot:
Michael Gergen, Carl Sneep, Keven Veilleux, Philip Samuelsson and Shero almost took Roupp instead of Harrington.

Shame Veillux's potential has been ruined by his glass legs and his empty head. I don't think you can really anticipate that he'd be an easily broken idiot, though. Can't really hold it over Shero.

if veillaux had stayed healthy he wouldnt have missed out on all that development time and wouldnt have transitioned to a fighter to resucitate his career and wouldnt have fought scooter vaughan and wouldnt have been exposed as a disgusting racist.

So that officially makes the Pens 2 for 20 (Richard Park in 1994 and Alex Goligoski in 2004) in 2nd rounds pick from 1990 to 2010. We should get lucky again in 2014 then.
