neither are flashy moves and neither will do anything lasting or memorable for the team, but they're not fundamentally bad transactions. They are not terrible.
Mottau was really ineffective for Boston, really don't think he'll do anything
MacIntyre actually doesn't even fight...he has the size but fighting is rare as of late. He would play for Pittsburgh but no one accepts his challenge.
Of course, with both being basically free, it's not really a fair assessment of a "first move" by Nonis
Guys, even if this is true, it's a depth acquisition. Orr's still a good fighter, and did fine in 6 fights for the marlies last year. In addition, he was a better hockey player than mac even before the improvements he's made over the last year or so.
First off Rosehill is no longer a leaf he is a duck..
second Orr just lost 25 lbs as per his coach in the AHL he is playing very well and being groomed for a 4th line role in Toronto ..
Big MAc might be claimed as a way to bully pitt and keep them from having that bullet in the chamber..
Big Mac is a monster and I hope he plays but i cant see both Orr/mac in nhl
