Keven Veilleux has always had a bad temper. But, he should know better not to use racial slurs.

I just read the box score.

Oh, and if anyone is heading down to the barn tomorrow, I'll be the short kid with a Engelland/Vitale t shirt on and a backwards hat.

Good to see you're still doing this even though camp isn't happening the way it normally is.

I've been reading these for years.

Interesting to have Strait on the wings. It may purely have been for drills and having an odd number defensemen for the camp; but at the same time, given that he will likely be our #7 or #8 Dman, it will be interesting to see if he or Lovejoy would fit on the wing on a 4th line, in the event that we ever wanted to dress 7 Dmen for a game.

Doesn't that sort of make it seem like he's currently the number 9 D option?

Thanks for the love, guys. Much appreciated.

IMO, Strait was at F during line drills strictly due to numbers. He defended during 2 on 1 and 1 on 1 drills. It may say a little about where he currently is on the depth chart though. Or it could be that they want to see how Despres looks in a larger role. On the surface at least, it seems he's at the back of the back.

Megna has picked up the nickname Smegma already. I think that will just about answer your question.

I expect we'll see Strait on waivers or traded. From what I've seen, he doesn't do anything that Ben Lovejoy doesn't already do.

Well, he's much better defensively. Lovejoy was quite the liability last season, and Strait's not only a shutdown guy in the A, but looked very steady in his NHL call-ups.

I doubt anyone would disagree here. Strait's defense is better than Lovejoy's and I think at 28/29 people can stop talking about Lovejoy's "offensive upside" finally.

Barring a trade, I think DB wants to see Despres/Engelland/Bortuzzo as the 5/6/7 options. Gut feeling.

Yeah, I think it's time to cut ties with Lovejoy. We have no need for him anymore.

This could become a whole new coaching strategy by Bylsma...put a dman on wing, run left wing lock.

These dmen will be PMDs.

Letang-Crosby-Dupuis
Despres-Malkin-Neal
Morrow-Sutter-Cooke
Niskanen-Vitale-Adams

Orpik-Martin
Bortuzzo-Strait
Lovejoy-Engo

...hey come on now...not like the defense system could get much worse...

I hope you guys are joking haha. Strait was on the wing simply to fill in on a line. He will be on D tomorrow and Jeffrey will drop down.

Has anybody heard if the pens scrimmage is gonna be on tv? I think there putting the wild scrimmage on in Minnesota it be nice if they showed the pens on root sports.
